this was my first thought. the attention is waning from that last shooting and he needs to have everyone thinking about him again. 

also, how, after two attempted shootings, their first thought isn't "Wow! we should really do something to take the guns out of the hands of crazy people!"

Looks like they caught either the suspect or an accomplice alive this time, so I guess we’ll see…

Seems like a sweep of the golf course where T was golfing found a person in a tree with a AK 47 rifle . The “shots heard” were fired by the Secret Service. The person fled into a car & that same car with the same license plate was later stopped and the 2 people inside are being questioned.

I am skeptical because these lying shitheads have spent years making up lies and, most recently, some pretty horrific ones about Haitians living legally in the U.S. that have endangered their lives. When you spend decades lying, you reap what you fucking sow. It may be entirely possible that this was an attempt, but I’m waiting for more details because right now, it seems awfully fishy. And if it is real, for fuck’s sake, his detail needs to get a little bit better at securing perimeters.

Let me be perfectly clear: gun violence is unacceptable. In every case, even when I despise the target. But I am FURIOUS that the only time these fuckers care about it is when TFG is targeted and not when babies are being shot in their schools.

NYTimes had interviewed the suspect in 2023 as an individual who had volunteered to fight in the Ukraine despite not having previous military experience. It seems that the motive once again was guns.

Hey, I know it's nutty to even lean to "is this for real?" Hence why I call it tinfoil hat. I'm at a place where I am having trouble making sense of what is true anymore.

How about this instead. The Secret Service and other similar protective governmental bodies thwart intended harm to political figures all the time. I find it convenient for him that this one got such swift and widespread publicity, especially given the importance of not exposing security challenges or giving dangerous people notoriety. He gets to be big brave man to his cult. He likes that, no matter that he (I acknowledge) did not invite it.

Could this be because there was a prior recent attempt and the media is all over it? Because the person made it off the golf course before they were caught? Of course.

I hate that this is where we are. He made this bed and we all have to lie in it.

This was kind of my point. We’ve reached a point where people’s first instinct is to assess if things are true. Did it really happen? 

what do we know at this point?
* someone with a gun was spotted on the golf course
* the secret service shot at them
* someone saw him run away and took picture of the car
* local police apprehended him on I95. 

maybe a bit more, but that’s all I’ve been able to figure out. 

Let’s just take some time to let facts come in and THEN pice together things that happened. To immediately knee jerk based on no information is just as bad as those that immediately disbelieve a school shooting actually happened. 

Personally, my first thought was it was just someone “exercising their first admendment right” in an open carry state, but it’s not an open carry state.
