“Life is not orderly. No matter how we try to make it so, right in the middle of it lose a leg, fall in love, drop a jar of applesauce.” - Natalie Goldberg
If that (and other regular bills) don't count, the most expensive recent purchase were a couple of Anywhere Chairs from Pottery barn. I think the total was right at $200.
$160 to get a bridesmaid dress altered. They added in extra fabric so I would have room to grow, and it's already tight. The wedding is this weekend. Uh oh!
We just moved, so we are bleeding money. $2250 for exterior painting (patio, ceiling, deck, and front door). $1900 for a riding lawn mower. $1400 new refrig. $500 for new sideboard buffet. Our credit card bill I paid this week was $6600 which included movers and new carpet ($2k).
Later this week we will be paying our $28k 1st payment for the pool. My hand will shake when I write that check.

in the past month not as much as most people - one single item would be a new mattress ~$600 inc. delivery. but in one day we spent ~$2000 on season ski passes for the family, new skis for me and new snowboard for DH.

$1200 for Christmas flights, closely followed by another $1200 for a weekend in Las Vegas for DH and I after Christmas (as we will be able to leave DD with the grandparents)!
Our yearly life insurance premiums are due at the end of the month -- that's going to be another large chunk.
