First LO..Fing...L at Duggars claiming to be broke. /sorrynotsorry I have no sympathy for them.
I did not read the article about the porn, I couldn't handle it this morning. But you'd think these monsters would get a clue. They're going to get caught. It's a matter of when not if these days.

unfortunately it seems so often after SOL has passed.
Statute of limitations = SOL = Shit Outta Luck for victims
Ehh I hate the duggars as much as anyone else, but it doesn't sound like they're broke at all. It sounds like their teenage sons are peddling for money for "their art" on the Internet.

Yeah, the article is click-baity. The Duggars were shilling before their show got cancelled. They very well may go broke but it's not like someone saw a repo truck in front of their house.
I am so repulsed by the porn thing. That is just . . . wow. Chemically castrate him and everyone involved, I don't care.

I'd also hope that Jim Bob had SOME foresight to realize he should save some of their $$ so that they don't go broke 2 months after the show gets cancelled!

These people have deep pockets even without TLC. They've gobbled up most of the commercial real estate in Tontitown (that's an exaggeration, but it's a lot). They've owned several businesses - mostly car lots. They make money off land they sold to a cell phone company for a tower to be built. I don't think they'll be in actual financial trouble for a long time, if ever.
And honestly, as soon as they are actually in financial trouble, they can and will grift and the leghumpers will gladly oblige.

Yeah, but Jill and Dill are also peddling donations for their "mission," without explaining what, exactly, it is they are doing. They didn't even admit they were going to El Salvador for weeks.

They'll write another book about their "trials" and then charge charge a pretty little sum for guest speaking engagements + all their People Magazine and GMA appearances and still be doing great.

Thats really not uncommon though. I could name a dozen evangelical missions organizations off the top of my head that don't pay their staff and staff members are expected to fundraise their salaries.

But they didn't have information about being registered as a 501c3 originally. And when they confirmed that they were a registered non-profit, they still didn't provide the information they were supposed to disclose, like the mission of their non-profit, or what the money would be used for.

Right, but that doesn't mean the family is broke since this isn't something you'd typically bankroll yourself anyway.
FWIW giving out no details isn't unheard of either. Granted, it's usually because what you plan on doing is illegal where you are going, but I can understand not broadcasting to the world details amidst a media firestorm as well.
