So if Josh confessed at minimum to the elders then a while lot of people knew and didn't report. Sickening.
The want involvement in government when it comes to enforcing their beliefs on the entire nation, but they want separation of church and state when their church wants to cover up major criminal activity.
uggh Jessa and Jill are coming forward and speaking tonight on the interview, I want to vomit.
No!!!! This pisses me the FUCK off. People who seek reality TV are seriously the worst humanity has to offer. The worst. I do not want to see these girls who have accepted this as a quirk of their childhood smile through 98% ( cry so we know you are still human!) of their interview and praise God, their parents and their brother. I mean, I won't, because I won't watch but why are the these parents allowing this? Ughhhh!

Disgusting! And given that these women have to submit to their husbands or Jim Bob, it's sickening to wonder just how little say they probably had in appearing on Fox. How anxious could they have been to talk about their molestation on national TV?
I honestly think any cable network worth their salt would pull TLC from their lineup. I don't really think TLC is going to pull the show. I think they should be pulled.

I don't even think that's it at all. I think they believed he was struggling with sin in his life, that the devil was working in him and if they merely prayed hard enough, it would fix him. I'm sure there's also a huge element of the Jezebel effect going on too, that women and girls are just too tempting and if they were just more modest, it wouldn't happen again.
I doubt the idea of counseling ever occurred to them.
I'm sure they have some sincere religious convictions. But turning to prayer is not inconsistent with understanding options available to you, and the consequences of other alternatives.
I just don't buy that they were so pious and godly that prayer was all they knew. Jim Bob is smart enough to know better. Michelle too. They have been functioning in mainstream society for years. They weren't born and raised in this world, they turned to it as married adults. Jim Bob is a well-connected, savvy man, who had been active in state politics and a businessman, not some kool-aid drinking yahoo fresh out of a bunker.
While they've built a very artificial circle around them to limit their children's exposure to outside influence, they did that because they have an appreciation of what people who don't see life their way are like.
I mentioned this before but it bears repeating. JimBob was the Vice Chair of the House Corrections and Criminal Law Subcommittee and his Senate campaign was pushing to make rape and incest capital crimes WHEN ALL OF THIS WAS GOING ON. He wasn't just smart enough to know better, he was writing the laws that made his actions illegal.

They told the girls about good and bad touch and let them know they had a place to tell someone their hart. Whoever scripted this shit and worse than the writers who came up with the Mimi sextape storyline on Love and Hip hop Atlanta.
I didn't realize this was on now and was coming to post that MSN was saying the two girls were going to be speaking too.
This is a bad time to ask questions not about the interview but oh well. So - I wonder if Jill and Jessa do/will let him around their kids.
Also, going back to Anna leaving him. On top of the financial situation and the thoughts that have been pounded into her, I wonder if she fears that the Duggars would fight her to have custody of the kids if she left. You know they could lawyer up real quick with the money they have and I could see her thinking they'd win easily, especially since she's so trained to think women are the lesser group.
