the rouge event was okay - coffee, water, juice, little muffins, etc. saw some of the holiday sets. i wanted the bite lip set but once i swatched it they weren't' really colors i would wear that often.
i picked up some false lashes and some hair stuff. got the bag of samples and they are just ehhhhh. nothing super special. the little eye make-up remover is nice for my travel bag though.
the UD highlighter trio looked cool but after reading temptalia's review of it's terrible performance i didn't even swatch it. my SIL liked the stila highlighter trio a lot though.
ETA: the first aid beauty kit looked like an awesome value - great sizes for the price. and i really loved the eyeshadow of the smashbox three piece kit but would never use the contour powders and am just ehhhhh on lip palettes like that so will pass. maybe if it goes on super sale after the holidays...
Mine was all sold out of the Bite mini set by the time I got there. They apparently only stocked a few per store for this event and more will be released later.
So I bought a Multistick instead.
The Stila highlighting palette was pretty nice. I might get that with Ulta points.
The Laura Mercier highlighting palette is gorgeous.

I am annoyed with my ulta "skincare sampler" in my order I just got today. It was two paper perfume samples (like the ones in magazines) of some Dior perfume and that's it. Really? I didn't expect anything super awesome, but that's ridiculous.

I also liked the Marc Jacobs lip mini set.
What color of multistick did you get?
Praline. I love it. It's like a muted, dusty coral.
Picked this little essence palette up today at Ulta. It retails for $5.49 I was pretty impressed with the softness and pigment of the tester. Thought why not? And got it.
I wandered around the store looking at a bunch of prestige stuff. Thought about getting the Anastasia Brow Powder that was on sale but saw on the box that it was made in China. So I was not to keen on that anymore.
I think I will try the essence thing tomorrow along with the liquid liner I got from them too.

Maybe I'll get that! For $5, why not? I need to buy something to get that free Mally mascara today ! Anyone have experiences with the ULTA brushes? Was going to look at those too

cottoncandycarrotsmakemefat Tried it! Like it a lot! It's not an amazing palette but it's a pretty nifty palette for $5.50 nice compact size for travel too. I love the shades too.

Has anyone tried the Foreo Luna Mini? I'm thinking about using my 2k points reward on it, but I also kinda want to just get $125 of makeup I don't need. Is it worth using my big ole reward?

I have no willpower, I bought three of the Mally shadow sticks that is the Ulta beauty deal today. I just went to check out the colors. Free shipping for platinum during the deals promotions makes it very hard to resist.

I'm looking at all the cool sephora points rewards I can't have. The 4k one is the UD XX Vintage Vault. I could easily get up to 4k points with the 4x point promotion. I would never be able to snag it, though.

That is an awesome set. I only have about 1800 points so there's no chance I could get enough to even try.
I'll say, the the new system seems to be an improvement. Obviously I'd prefer an Ulta system, but it's better than how they were doing it before. I'm hoping that they keep it up and people with the insane points balances start cashing things in so that in a few months, the limited releases don't go quite so fast. I appreciate that they are now sending advance notice of the high point perks and saying how many are available.

I dropped my Naked 2 palette that I haven't even come close to touching pan on >.< Luckily, the only one that shattered was blackout and I have a single of it anyways, but I did knock a couple of the other ones out. Y'all should've heard the noises that came out of my mouth when I saw that's what I'd dropped (I was carrying a big pile of things, on which it was sitting).

That sucks, but can you use it as an excuse to depot? I've done that with 1 and 3 and I find them so much more convenient outside of those long palettes.

I haven't ever done that. Is it just moving the pans to a more convenient palette or what?SaveSave
