you pick 5 of the deluxe samples to make your own kit. i'm super tempted because i just bought that size of the bumble and bumble curl spray for 10 bucks. i can return that and get 4 more things for only 15 bucks more than i paid originally.
ETA: this list (that i found on sephora's messageboards) of prices for the items individually. so you can see which are the best values. i've been wanting to try the living proof oil and the devacurl coconut cream so just those two are worth the 25 bucks already for me.
if anyone is interested, i jotted down the values when reading up on each item (high-low below). Most items with a whole price value (no cents) is sold separately as a travel size.

Thanks robinsbff, I just ordered the hair set and used the Hairstyle coupon for a devacurl set. I am trying the curly girl method and I really hope it helps as my hair sucks postpartum.
Does anyone have thoughts on the Kat Von D MatteMetals holiday palatte? It's very different from anything I have already, and looks like it could be fun. Temptalia doesn't have a review yet, has anyone seen one?

I was at Ulta tonight and they were getting all the new displays with the holiday kits and such set out. Also had a bunch of DevaCurl stuff marked down because they changed up the packaging.

I finished 7 days of my skincare routine: retinoid in the evening, PC 8%AHA every other morning, and then shaved my face today with my Shiseido straight-edge facial razor. I used the Mizon snail eye cream on my face (it doesn't do jack for my eyes), and then used my tinted moisturizer. Wow! I kept looking at my skin today. It looks great.
Now if I could find the solution to my under-eye crepe paper skin.

The pp hair shed sucks, but then there's the stage after where there's new growth throughout, which adds body and lift at the root. I loved that stage.

Do you recall what was marked down and how much it was marked off? I just ordered a bunch of stuff from devacurl and it was more than I really wanted to spend.
It's way shimmery (not glittery. but distinct sheen) when swatched. Which used to turn me off, but I think I love it now that i'm obsessed with highlighters. It's a neutral kinda peachy tan? I guess? I'm not good at color descriptions and all the swatches online are for the old packaging and look a little different. And just for shits and giggles I went full monochrome for my 5 minute work face today and used it as eyeshadow too, and I really like it for that, which means it may earn a coveted spot in my gym bag because lord knows I'm a sucker for a multitasker and the packaging isn't too bulky. Not sure on longevity yet since it's only 10 AM, but so far so good. Goes on really really nicely - no fallout, not powdery at all. Just smooth. Not worth the full price really, but nobody pays full price for ulta brand products anyway. Definitely worth the sale price assuming it doesn't all go poof by lunch.
Really boring FOTD since it's just a bb cream, mascara, blush, single color shadow kind of day, but you can see it on both my cheek and eye. I like this a surprising amount. (hence the post)

Ulta has a mini sponge set - comes with three. I've been using it for a couple of days and they are the perfect size for blending my concealer which is all I want to do with a sponge. They plump up and soften nicely when wet. They were really inexpensive too.

I saw a lot of stuff. Liter bottles and some other smaller things (not sure if style products or conditioners) I am not.fakikiar with the line too much. I feel like the liter bottles were maybe $10 off the regular price.
I got an email with a survey from Ulta last night and decided to take it.
Most of the questions were about Kate Somerville but it had questions about other brands they might add. This included Drunk Elephant, Fresh(!), and "Korean Beauty."

I just went to Ulta last night and at my store there were small size of no-poo, conditioner, liters or light and heavy gel (but not ultra), regular size mousse, and the curl reviver spray. The small products were 6.97, the regular size were 14.97, and the liters were 29.97.
I just got the Hourglass Ambiant powder set. I plan to use it as finishing powder. What brush do you use with it? I have a big fluffy brush, but I sort of feel like I am not putting enough on with it. I am not really seeing the glowing effects yet lol.

Sorry just saw this! They had some gel and lots of shine spray mostly. Some little sizes (like deluxe sample/travel size) of the no poo and conditioner too. I would guess selection would entirely depend on each store and what they had in stock at the time of the markdown. It was twenty bucks it was marked to 14.95 and the travel sizes went from 10 to 6.95ish.
