Not to me. I freely judge anyone who feels the need to own the gun that appears in a google search for AR-15. Because I didn't know what that was, lol. But it looks unnecessary for any regular person to own.Â
You are judging people that have something that you don't know what it is but you don't like how it looks? I get that you probably don't like any gun, but know that an AR's only difference from a standard revolver or home self-defense pistol is the size of the bullet. It does not fire any quicker as all expend one round with each trigger pull. An AR is not an assault rifle, and its scare factor is purely cosmetic.
Why do you need a gun that looks scary? Aren't they scary enough?

I'm not saying I need a gun that "looks scary." Just that judging ANYTHING based on looks is ignorant. We all do it, but I'm putting some facts out as anyone does when people judge without them.

Dh and I have always said they should make a reality show about the life in a gym. So much drama. The valet guy at our gym has the easiest job. He only has to park the cars 100 feet away from his stand and 95% of his day he just sits at his stand and plays on his phone
Too much! There's so much foolishness to go around, that Yosemite Sam probably feels fly as fuck. There's also a ginger with the most epic mullet I've ever seen, and a man (who must be in his 80s), who works out in a high school wrestling singlet. I'm not even touching the the outdoor pool girls,  whose tiny rap video bikini's clearly aren't meant for swimming laps, and the girl in peek-boo mesh leggings, that clearly show her side vag. At least, since it was on display, she just said no to 70s Bush! :-# The place is amazing on all levels! Women shamelessly trying to trap wealthy men; wealthy me fooling themselves that they've still got it, pro athletes,  and hand full of normal people watching the dynamics like this  . So good! They can have all my money. I get  killer work outs,  friends, and a show each day with my membership fees.Â
Are you all talking about EQX in Irvine? My brother is a trainer there, so I've been in a few times when I visit. It's the most ridiculous spectacle I've seen...and I love it. I go to EQX where I live, but it's nothing like the Irvine club with its valet parking, full bar in the lobby, pro athletes, gold diggers and their 50-something male "victims."
Yesss!!! I got to visit this magical gym last week and when I walked up and saw the fleet of expensive ass car I knew it was going to be fun people watching. Then when I saw the bar I was in heaven LOL. I also did get a killer work out in the TRX class and couldn't lift my arm for a week I wish we had something like this where I live.
You're splitting hairs. It's not an assault Rifle, but it's an assault WEAPON.
Assault weapon is a made-up term coined by anti-gun lobbyists in 1989 to make them sound scary that, years later, they created a definition of to match what an ar15 is
This is a genuine question. How is it not? What it is used for except the killing of humans, quickly and more than one at a time? You're not going to use it to hunt with.
It is designed to look like an m4, but it does not have the same capability. Again, cosmetic.
Edit: correction, m16

Edit: it is a rifle or, sometimes, tactical rifle. Just like there are pistols and revolvers and hunting rifles. Assault weapon is not a type of gun

What do you mean by "quickly and more than one at a time". Again, it fires just as quickly as a revolver

I'm certainly now on some sort of watch list for my googling history. But a revolver holds like 9 bullets before requiring reloading, while an AR15 mag can hold 100 bullets. So are we really going to pretend a hand gun has the capacity to mass kill people equal to an AR15?

I'll be honest, I had never heard of a 100 round mag before and had to google it; it is certainly not a common accessory for people to have. There are states that have a 10 or 15 round limit for magazines, and pretty much all "high capacity" mags are in the 20- 30 range. I agree that high capacity mags (especially 100 rounds) should be banned again like they were prior to the previous ban expiring, but the gun itself fires at the same speed as other semi-autos.

It's a gun dumbo, she knows exactly what it is. You know what she meant. GTFO
Of course she knows it's a gun, but she clearly said she googled it and is making her decision based on an image. I'll pass on getting out until we head to the movies since I'm having a civil conversation with a few people

I'm with you - but apparently you haven't been around GBCN much. Welcome. This is standard operating procedure here.

Lol, thanks. I pretty much know how it works; been around since the place that shall not be named but don't participate much anymore. Not looking for a pro/anti gun debate as neither side can change the other's mind. Just throwing out some facts for those that are mis/uninformed about ARs and judging based on looks. For anyone that thinks all guns are scary, cool, that's their opinion.

Did you go to Joan's class on the roof?
Yes.. she was tough! I've done some TRX stuff at my gym but nothing like that.

Because everything you read on Facebook is true...I just saw that Christina and Tarek plan to stop the show in 2017. Honestly it may be for the best, at least for the kids. I'm sure they'll do a spin off or something, perhaps with that Israel contractor or something.

Does anyone know what happened with Israel? I haven't seen him on the show in forever. For some reason I thought there was some drama...
