I wish I could get my legs stronger quicker. I have to slow down sometimes not because I’m completely out of breath but because my legs just aren’t strong enough and start to give out if I go too hard. Also I am STILL super sore from a strength workout over 2 days ago, so I guess my starting fitness level was even lower than I thought!

The thing that helped me the most with leg strength is "hovering" while on the bike. My spin instructors would incorporate it into a class every once in awhile. Hard at first, but controlling yourself while balancing really helps.

Is this where your legs rotate and the rest of your body is still? It's BRUTAL but really builds leg strength and stamina.

yup! It also reminds you to pull up with your legs and core instead of pushing down all the time.

I’ve been trying this sometimes it is SO HARD
I’ll have to find the ones I liked but Matt’s classes are so good about drills to improve technique and increase output. One of his was short but I finally figured out how to push & pull.
Honestly, I still can’t do a lot of standing in a class because my core is so weak from the boys. But one day I know I’ll get there.

I just noticed that there is a 4 week "crush your core with Emma" under the Featured menu on the app. Not sure where it would be on the bike. Trying to decide between that and Andy's total strength 4 week program.
Anyone have a cushion/pad for their seat they can recommend? The internet tells me I have a saddle sore and it is not fun.
Diaper cream! It'll help the sore go away quickly.
I would suggest padded shorts and/or an anti-chafe cream or ointment. I've used Aquaphor before. I've seen lots of people recommend some $30 shorts on Amazon but I haven't tried them yet.
knx9211 Definitely get some padded shorts! The pad is called a chamois (sham-whaaaaa) or chammy (shammy). It will save your nether regions! I also recommend a cycling specific anti chafe cream called Chammy Butr. A tube will last you forever. It's water based, so it's much easier to get out in the laundry than a petroleum based product like Aquaphor or Bag Balm.
I am just jealous/impressed that everyone has room for a bike in their house. #UrbanLivingProblems
Mine is in the garage. Literally no good room/space for it anywhere in my house without it looking way out of place.
well that makes me feel a LITTLE better. But my garage barely fits my car and is currently like 30 degrees lol. I guess I would not have to worry about getting sweaty !

No cars in my garage either! It's not an old house but it's like they couldn't imagine a car bigger than a Honda Accord fitting in there. After all the surfboards, bikes, scooters, etc there's no room for a car. And I've also been starting rides wearing 1 or 2 sweatshirts, scarf and a beanie, peeling them off as I warm up.

We’re in a large apartment, and ours is next to H’s desk. Thankfully the footprint isn’t too big although I do have issues with weights sometimes b/c it’s so close to the wall.
I’m just here to complain about my garage being too small. It’s too cold to put my bike in there but I’m just complaining because I hit my two week old new car off the divider between the two garage doors because it barely fits. I am so sad.
My 2 year old was awake when I rode today and BEHAVED. This is a game changer. I’ve had so much trouble getting everything done because I’m too tired from being woken up by my 12 week old to so early rides and hated wasting DS’s entire nap time riding, showering, etc. I’m so excited I hope this keeps up. DD was not as cooperative as usual (had to clip out three times because she kept kicking herself off her boppy and flipping out) but she’s cute so I’ll give her a pass.
