Has anyone else had their cadence and resistance ranges disappear over the last few days? I tried googling to see if there was a change that removed it, but every thread I’ve found is from like 2019 or older.
I loved having the ranges on the screen! I hope it comes back. I also hope it’s not an issue with my specific bike.
Not all workouts show the ranges, especially if they’re newer.
Do Peloton instructors not do the traditional positions? Like I haven't heard anyone saying 3rd position vs 2nd, though I have only tried a few classes. I really like 3rd position climbs and 2nd-to-3rd-position jumps.. anyone have rides/instructors that do this? My free trial of the app is almost over and I'm on the fence.

It may be an issue with your bike but it’s a very easy fix. This happened to my bike and I called customer service - they talked me through powering off the bike and then releasing some cables from the back of the screen (slightly tricky to get them off but not bad at all) and then replugging them in. Problem solved. So if it’s happening on every ride call in and they will talk you through it

Thank you! It’s been my last 3 rides and they haven’t been super new or very old, so I’ll give them a call.
I’m in line at the nyc peloton studio to take Cody’s class. I’ve never been on a peloton and don’t spin. My friend is a pelotoner and obsessed.
I’m 100% going to fall off the bike so anyone watching/doing his class at 11:30, don’t laugh at me. Ha!
I did the live version at home! It was a fun class. How did you do? Also, was that woman's husband as hot as Cody kept saying? He was never on camera.
HA! I actually thought the class wasn't hard. And I found Cody more annoying than motivating. I know that's an UO. The woman next to me had really awful breath that was making me nauseous. I wish the bikes were a bit further apart.
I didn't think he was that much more attractive than any other man in the studio.

I’m so jealous! How was it?
The studio is great. People were working and hanging out before and after class. Everyone was super friendly. The studio locker room was immaculate. The smoothies were delicious.
The class itself wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. But a couple friends had told me he isn't known for having tough classes, he's known for being entertaining. UO-I thought he was more annoying than entertaining. After every class, people line up to take their picture with the instructors. They have a system for doing so. The world of peloton people is truly hardcore.

But I didn't fall off the bike! Ha.
Cody’s classes definitely aren’t quite as challenging for me. I mean they CAN be if you push to the top of the metrics. But it’s certainly not like a class from Alex, for example.
I am super out of shape so I’m still real sweaty in a Cody class. I think he’s cute and funny, I like him. But I don’t like anyone enough to wait in line for a pic after a workout. I don’t want a picture of myself being a sweaty ass mess.

Any tips on what to do for my first full class? I turned on a beginner the other day but didn't finish it because my bike seat needed adjusted. I was looking at the 7:30 90s class tonight? But I wasn't sure if that would be too hard I've never done a spin class and I am the most out of shape person in the world that feels like so I don't know what to do.

What kind of music do you like? If you're up for an on demand ride:
Cody Rigsby - Backstreet boys 30min ride from 5/17/19
Robin Arzon - Lizzo 30min ride from 8/2/19
Robin Arzon - Madonna 30min ride 6/28/19
Otherwise, the 730pm 90s ride from Tunde that you reference should be good, I really love her energy. It's as hard as you want to make it. Don't feel pressure to keep up with the cadence or resistance that she calls out.

I am in love with him, so I would have been one of those fools in line and waiting haha. I think I'll make a weekend to NYC this year literally just to take some classes with him, Kendall, Robin and Alex!
I'm going to start Robyn's 4 week tabata challenge today, if anyone wants to join me.
*gulp*
I haven't tried tabata yet, but I signed up for some Power Zone "Zone Warp" challenge. Not sure what I was thinking, except it seemed like a good way to make myself accountable for the next few weeks (it's 6 weeks long starting next Monday). I signed up for the beginner 3-days-per-week version.

Honestly, I just picked classes based on music and adjusted to what I could keep up to. But beginner classes could be best! I liked Cody’s beginner classes a lot
I just did whatever classes seemed like they had good music, and kept my cadence and resistance at what felt right. I tried a beginner class because I'd never done spin before, but I ride outside all summer (fair weather cyclist) and found the beginner classes were too easy for me.
Yesterday I did a 15 minute HIIT with Ali Love because the cycle studio had 5 people in it and that's what they picked. Then when they left I tried out a 20 minute scenic your of Italy but I didn't care for how they kept switching from scene to scene. I was expecting a continuous ride.

I've had the bike for about a week and took my first FTP test yesterday - it was so so so low, lol. I can only go up from here?!
Yayyyy! Another PZ-er!
The challenges are amazing. I'm obsessed with PZ training...it's so amazing to physically see your increases in FTP. Make sure to take your FTP test before the challenge starts. Typically we have it scheduled during Week 1, but they're changing the format a bit this time around and it won't be on the schedule. Let me know if that doesn't make any sense lol.
This is my 6th (?) PZ challenge, third on a 4-ride team. Let me know if you have any questions!
I completed my first PeloFondo on Saturday!!! I signed up for the 35 mile ride, but had a secret goal of 50. I did the 45 min Jess King live ride, a 5 min Ben warm up, the 60 min Cody live ride, then Matt's 90 min ride from last Saturday. I hit 35 miles about 30 mins into the 90 min PZ and decided to keep going. At the end of the day, I finished with 51 miles in 3hrs 20min and a total of ~25 min in breaks to change, stretch, and refill water bottles!!
I just signed up for 50 for the March PeloFondo and my new secret goal is a metric century! Link here if anyone else is interested!

My ipad kept freezing and buffering. I need to find a way to download or something...I guess live questions won't work then. Maybe if I get a wifi booster, I dunno?

You are an app user right? You can pre-load the on demand classes, that should help! I never do live classes because I am in Europe and even the few London studio ones don’t work with my schedule but I thought that most/all or at least many of the live classes were recorded and posted on demand almost the same day but I could be wrong.

I would suggest their 6-week “Mastering the Basics” program. It’ll start you off on shorter rides and build you up, but it also introduces you to every instructor.
Does anyone have the tread and tried the bike? Or have the bike and tried the tread?
H and I can’t decide. We both used the tread at orange theory, but the bike is so much cheaper.
I don’t have the tread, but I go to OTF and have the bike. I love the bike, from my reading on reddit, the tread just doesn’t offer the same variety of classes as the bike. I use the tread at OTF, only tried the bike once there and didn’t like it. Also, you would have access to outdoor running classes with the bike (with the tread too though).
I vote bike! It’s amazing and motivating. Has a ton of other options in the ap (weights, core, yoga, running and on and on)
