I’m just here to complain about my garage being too small. It’s too cold to put my bike in there but I’m just complaining because I hit my two week old new car off the divider between the two garage doors because it barely fits. I am so sad.
Solidarity. My H was driving my brand new car last month and swiped the mirror on the edge of the garage door opening. Thankfully no damage (except to the garage door opening which was easily repaired), but I was still not pleased.

Yeeeah I did $1000 worth of damage. Ughhhh. I was barely moving! But between our garage doors is brick so it got allll nice and scratched up. I can’t wait to move to our new house that has just one big door.

December was an expensive month.
We have just 1 big door.
I actually kind of prefer 2 smaller doors though (it's what I grew up with) because my H is ALWAYS parking too far to the middle leaving me with less than my fair share of space.
I just wish garages were built a little bigger. My dream house would have at least a 2.5 car garage.

Our new one is TECHNICALLY a three car, but it’s just two car lengths deep on the one side so that helps not even a little bit. Ok maybe it’ll help a little because we can get all of our kids outdoor toys the fuck out of the way finally.

Yeah--width would be more helpful, but I'm jealous of the depth! I really want to add a small shed under the deck to get all that shit out of the way. Technically my HOA has banned sheds, but I'm thinking we might hide one under the deck. LOL

We looked at some like this, I think width is better but at least with the depth you can keep garbage cans/storage stuff away from the cars. I think it helps, especially when you consider that a 3 car wide is still a 2 car door and a 1 car door, so the width issue doesn’t totally go away there either since both have to fit in the 2 car side or one has to squeeze in the 1 car side.

After using my MIL's, I took the plunge. Mine comes the 14th! Ugh to have to wait so long though. So excited, reorganized the playroom last night to being half play room, half peloton/rowing machine. Been taking yoga classes while I wait.

I don't have the money for any of the fancy bikes right now, so bought one that's bare minimum necessary along with a cadence sensor to use the peloton app and am already excited. If this works out then I'll upgrade when we get a house. Mine will be here Wednesday.

Would you share what you bought? I do not have the money for a peloton right now but H and I could both use a bike.

I bought this one. After I thought about it I didn't want to spend the money right now on proform or echelon either. The peloton reddit seems to think this will be ok and I found it on a few budget spin bike lists.
We are about to go to the Peleton store and look. I’m so excited! I belong to two gyms (Pilates and Lifetime Fitness) and only go to LF for the spin classes so I feel like the Peleton is the perfect option. I hate going to two gyms and having to work around two class schedules so there’s a very good chance we’re walking out of there with a purchase today.

I totally impulse bought it. Use a referral code so you can save $100.

My bike came this morning! XPO delivered and did a great job (I heard mixed reviews so I wasn't sure what to expect). They were in and out in 15 minutes. I did Robin's 20-min beginner ride and loved it. I want to try a live one this evening.
Definitely dented my wall trying to clip out (I don't have full range of motion on my left ankle, so I really had to go for it LOL). Oops.

YahYahs ENJOY! The clipping takes a bit to get used to. #BMattAttack
I've only had my bike since halfway through my mat leave (MidJuly) and I'm already 130 rides in or so. Obsessed.

I leave my shoes clipped in - way easier....plus, they're kind of loud to clip in and out and my DD sleeps in the room next to where we have our bike setup, so leaving them in is just better.

Ditto. The shoes were the hardest learning curve for me. I’m going to Soul Cycle for a fundraiser and am Sooo nervous about having to clip in. Lol.
My aversion to clip on shoes is what pushed me to get a nordictrack bike instead 😂
You can change out the pedals on the Peloton (not saying you should have decided differently, just in case someone is taking this into consideration for buying a bike). My H already had spin shoes and wanted to use those but the idea of changing out the pedals for just his usage wasn’t appealing.

There were a few other things I preferred about Nordictrack too 🙂
I love mine but was never an app rider. A lot of what I like is the variety of classes (not just spin) you can take.
Ditto this. I've had the bike for just over a year but only half of my 200+ workouts are cycling classes. I *love* to add a 10 mins Arms workout to the end of a 30 minute ride, and I always do a post-ride stretch. My DH does a ton of the yoga workouts and we've just started incorporating a 10 minute "relaxation" meditation when we are going to sleep. I have the app on my phone and turn it face-down so there's no light. Highly recommend.

I went to a local cycle studio and they had to clip me into the pedals - more than once. Whoops! I'm sure at Soul Cycle they're used to having to help people. But, I don't blame you...I'd be nervous, too!
