Day 2 in bed. I was SO sick yesterday. Feeling marginally better today.
Do you have the flu for sure? Just curious, we haven't seen any here yet and I'm wondering when it will hit. Flu season is always our super busy balls to the wall time.
I dont get one. Doctor recommended against it for healthy adults. I have the same reasons every year though and my 2 friends whom are nurses always advise me not to get one either.

What? Why? Unless you are allergic or have some religious reason or other medical issue I can't fathom why you wouldn't get a flu shot.

Havent your doctor friends heard of herd immunity?
I was offered it at my last appointment, but my provider only offers the flu mist, and I was nervous about getting the mist just a few days before international travel. (never had the mist before, just the shot)
I'll be going back for the vaccine after I finish up my next trip.

What? I don't understand this. Healthy adults still get the flu. And by getting vaccinated, you help prevent the spread of it as well.

I've gotten the flu about 3 times as an adult. It really, really sucks. I've never gotten it years I get the flu shot. I just didnt get around to it this year since I wait for the free shot at work.
I can't imagine a reasonable healthcare provider of any sort saying this.
Yes it is a real MD. My doctor is against all unnecessary vaccines and drugs though. Years I have had it, I had complications. My nurse friends have seen some of the side effects and some people its just so intense, with your muscles completely breaking down. No way will I get the shot, last 6 years haven't once gotten it, neither does any of our family, which all have kids. All are healthy.
Thank you for the reminder; I have to call our insurance and see if we still get them for free. If so, I'll get it at my doctor's office; if not, I can go anywhere and get it without waiting.

WTF? Did these people's muscles just end up a pile on the floor? Are they just skin and bones now? And what would be a "necessary" vaccine? This is just so dumb.
