i'm just throwing the date out there, because i feel like if we do too much debate, it drags on forever. so...set in stone. even if it's just you, me, and my dog.
so.....
who can make it?
all non-weirdos are invited-- parents, non parents..your cousins that want to tag along. next door neighbor's, best friend's sister..boyfriends, husbands...both..whoever.
We have one on bainbridge that I like. They provide wagons and have a wide variety pumpkins and gourds. They also have a hay maze for kids. We have also been to the one out in sequim that is right at the intersection of 101 and kitchen Dick Rd. They also have farm animals and other activities do kids.
i think you're going the week after me, right? i can report back. we are going to disneyworld this weekend and then disneyland 10/17.
from what i've been reading so far, the rental is no good, plus it's the exact same as every one else's and people often mistake your stroller with theirs...
we plan on bringing our double just because it has the sit/stand and makes it easier for the big kids (my daughter, nephew)and the little one can still ride in the front.
sorry i'm late, but basically what spun said. regular formula is milk based, so it really shouldn't be lactose intolerance (but you never know, babies are weird). i would start by switching to almond, rice, or coconut milk. i have a personal vendetta with soy milk, so i avoid it. if he seems happy with that, try adding in lactose free milk..and if he's still okay, add wcm.
one note, though, almond and rice milk and even coconut milk are not as fatty as WCM. when bjl was on mostly almond milk while i was pregnant, she wasn't getting enough fat, and pedi suggested adding olive oil to her milk and foods...coconut milk is fattier than the two, but still a less than WCM.
my babies were/are sensitive to cow's milk, soy, egg. i would definitely suggest one of the milk/soy free formulas that spun posted because kirkland formula is milk based, and "regular" sensitive formula is soy based. the best way to figure out what baby is sensitive to is a very thorough food journal. good luck!
we didn't do move-out cleaning, we did that ourselves since we had plenty of time. we did a move-in cleaning, though, and hired a friend of a friend. she did really well...i don't know if she's still cleaning now, but i can ask if you're interested. i think we paid her about $200 and she did all the carpets, toilets, sinks, tubs, dusting, and other "ick factor" things you might want cleaned when moving in.
there's also lots of recommendations on FB community groups. i don't remember exactly where you live? my largest network right now is considered "edmonds", and there are lots of SAHM's that clean for 15-$25/hr.
1) both kids barely used a pacifier, even though we tried to get them to take it! they preferred boob instead, and we've never cut them of that..so....
2) bjl started early...maybe about 13ish months she really started, and it was sort of a loose training...if she told us she wanted to go, we'd take her..if she didn't, we didn't take her. except my MIL took her every 30 mins, and i guess she peed every time...but....nobody got time for that. she got the hang of it pretty good by 18 months..but then almost fully regressed by the time boy was born at 20 months. she then did it pretty quickly, shortly after 2 became diaper free. she still wears night time diapers, and it's hit or miss. she went for maybe a full month without peeing in her diaper, and then the day we don't wear a diaper she pees in the bed. i would say this last month, she has peed once a week in her diaper over night.
boy has been asking to go..but he hadn't...for a long time..maybe a few months...he says he needs to go..we sit him on the toilet pantsless and the only thing he wants to do is shove entire rolls of toilet paper in the toilet, 15 sheets at a time. for several months (sorry...2nd child..never kept track of time!), we'd ask him if he pooped..and he'd answer either yes or no...but he never told us beforehand and we never asked for pee bc...who cares about pee. about a week ago (he's almost 21 months), he started telling us after he pooped without us asking him first. on monday just two days ago..he said poopoo..and when i checked his diaper and it was empty...i teased him for lying to me..he laughed..but then i decided to run him to the toilet..and he peed! and then same thing yesterday...so two days in a row....i know that i've said it "out loud", it won't happen again today...but we'll see.

3. they have both never ridden a trike. when bjl was just about 2, and our neighbor boy was just about 3..he had a trike (they've since traded up), and she was able to move it..although very slowly. she got a bike (with training wheels) for her 2nd birthday..and has been riding it fine since about 2.5. boy cannot reach the pedals of his sister's beautiful pink princess bike, but he still likes to sit on it and have us push him...he can sit and hang on just fine.
Halloween themed long sleeved pj set for bjl today and long solve ducks for the boy. We sleep with the windows open, so maybe that helps? It does get pretty cold at night
I wish I felt safe enough to sleep with the windows open But all your bedrooms are on the second level, right?
Yes the bedrooms are on the second floor...maybe you should move to Mukilteo and feel safe to sleep with windows open!

oh this sounds amazing!!! but it's actually the day we are going to disneyland lol. sooooo.. unless something changes. i would totally go to this!
Super jealous! We will go when youngest is at least 3
3 is when they start charging for disneyland, so go before then we are going in october so it's right before the youngest turns two, so we can save on a flight!
bjl has definitely gone backwards when it comes to potty training. she's fine during the day, and has been for about a year now...but nights. nights! we were doing so good! we were even barely wearing a diaper...but for the past several weeks, maybe even months now, she's been wetting every single night. we've put her back in a diaper every night..and it's just frustrating.
as for positives, though, she's so stinking cute lol. she is very fluent in both languages, she translates for kids, it's hilarious.
boy talks a lot, and he lets me know when he farts. and he's just so funny. he knows how to put on his own shoes, he dances, he LOVES taylor swift...when he hears "shake it off", he'll jump up and down saying "yaaaaaay" and then does the hand motions for "shake shake shake".
Culturally, the one year party is a huge celebration in Korea. We had a really big party, but it was still tame compared to a lot of Korean ones.
We had a mild UP theme throughout our wedding (the recessional was Married Life from UP and we had a mailbox decorated a la UP for cards), so we continued it into his birthday with a lot of balloons and cake.
My sister compiled some highlights in a birthday video. Can you spot all the Nexties?
Don't forget--no shoes in the house.. Plan your outfit/socks/pedicure accordingly. Don't fret about dropped food. I have a dog. He will be faster than you. Accidents happen. If the bathroom downstairs is taken and you need it.. Go upstairs. No worries. You won't miss the bathroom at the top of the stairs.
Change diapers anywhere you feel appropriate. Any random box of wipes you find are a free for all. Diapers are fine in the regular trash. Need a diaper, sippy cup, I got it. Anything you need, just ask.
If your baby is playing with something breakable, it's my fault for not putting it away. If you don't want them playing with something, just move it. No need to tell me, I'll find it.
