How bad are the 1 year shots? DS has his appointment tomorrow and I'm debating waiting a week for the shots so the night weaning/better sleep is better established. Or is that crazy?
DD had a rash/fever and was really crabby for 4-5 days afterwards.
Watching the Golden Globes and drinking wine seems to be the theme of the night!
When did you switch from using an all-in-one wash to separate shampoo on your kids hair? I've always used Aveeno baby wash on DD, but her hair has been looking a little greasy lately, so I'm wondering if I should switch to shampoo instead.
Also, do you use a designated kids shampoo, or the same stuff you use yourself?
The C9 brand at Target is decent. I've also had good luck finding workout gear (Under Armour and Addidas) at stores like TJMaxx (not sure if you have those up in America's Hat ).
Absolutely. Independence is a great skill to learn. We play together often, but she's getting good at entertaining herself for 15-30 minute stints while I am occupied.
I'm really starting to like OshKosh for DD (18m). I got a bunch of cute stuff on Black Friday that reminds me of Baby Gap for less than half the price:
Bedtime is DH's domain and he does everything (bath, brush teeth, PJs, books, tucking in, etc.). Since I am with DD all day long, he really likes to have this as his time with her and I certainly don't mind the break.
PBK anywhere chair - fun to crawl all over and stand on, but not too much sitting quietly and reading (like I envisioned happening, lol)
M&D band-in-a-box - HUGE hit! We've been having family sing/play-alongs every night since Christmas.
Kidkraft kitchen - she likes it, but is not quite really into pretend play just yet; this will definitely be a gift to grow into during the next few years
Guys, please keep this conning. This is super helpful. I love the idea of using Google calendar and an app to make my grocery list. I'd love to hear more about what you're actually eating too.
I subscribe to a lot of food blogs. When a recipe comes along that sounds good I bookmark it in my browser. I have my recipe bookmarks cataloged in my browser. So all chicken recipes go in the same place. Same with beef, pork, crockpot, soup, dessert, etc. I've been doing this for several years so I probably have a 100 or more recipes at this point. If I make something and we don't like it I delete the bookmark.
