My h might need surgery for a foot issue soon, and we're kind of scrambling to figure out how we'd be able to make it on 55% of his pay right now, and it's just not going to be great.
Does anyone know of any ways to get additional disability, or other higher paying options?
Also, does anyone have any experience with tarsal coalition? That's his issue, and I'm wondering how recovery time is, or non surgical options.

Sooo, update. Pest control says it's a "juvenile rat". I'm like, soooo... he's a teenager? Lol.
He says he needs back up to get him out, so we're still keeping that door locked. That office is for our mortgage loan officer, and he's like "I'm not coming back to your branch, lol".

We came in this morning, and I can't see him in the office. My manager was worried that he would squeeze out under the door, so she taped up the crack. And then worried if he'd have enough oxygen, lol.

Do people (more than pagas, lol) really hate curry? Today was uncharacteristic, but he honestly seems like an amazing, nice person. I'm from the bay area, so I'm just happy to have a great sports role model other than Colin kaepernick, ha. How do people feel about buster Posey for the giants? Cuz if you hate him, then I got nothing, lol.
I'm on anti-depressants which have been helping - I don't currently feel depressed like I did before going on them.
It almost feels automatic for me. Like, whelp, h is out of town, time to eat.
I do like the idea of planning things to keep me busy, and distracted. I've kind of slacked off on my knitting lately (hello, 90 degree weather), but I'm going to try and pick that up again. It will keep my hands busy, and my mind distracted. The next time he's out of town is in August, so I will have that as a back up.
AJL, I don't know that I have anxiety, at least about that. The way I normally experience anxiety is difficulty breathing or getting a full breath, and pressure on my chest, which I don't normally feel when eating.

Also, I haven't bought things - when I was being good. However, I had a stressful day at work on Saturday, and stopped at the grocery store on my way home and bought all my favorite shit.
I will say that I didn't eat even half of all that I bought, which is an improvement over the past. However, I just don't want to do it.
Find a new therapist who knows how to deal with emotional/binge eating (it's really a specialised field). The other thing to think about is - are you getting enough calories. Sometimes binge eating is driven also by not eating enough (which can happen with the restrictive eating).
I'm seeing her mostly for depression, which may be part of this.
I definitely think that I'm eating enough - 2200 calories (I'm 6ft), and it's not restrictive other than nothing processed. Mostly fruits, veggies, whole grains and lean meat. I will definitely check out that book, though! Thank you!

How do you keep yourself from doing this? Or how do you figure out the reason you're doing it?
I was doing SO WELL for a month of clean eating, and then my husband goes out if town and I go to town eating all the things. And this always happens.
I think I've had this issue for a loooong time (my roommate used to know to leave me alone when I locked myself in my room with junk food- she called them my "moods"), and every tinge my h is out of town I do this.
I honestly don't know why, and it's killing me, because I was on such a good streak.
What do you all do to combat this? I've talked to my therapist about it, but she hasn't really helped me figure anything out.
This could be. I've has issues with this knee for years, mostly just getting really achy if bent for too long (like at the movies or even at a restaurant). I always wrote that off as a consequence of being fairly tall (6ft) and having long legs, lol. But perhaps I'm aggravating it more now by working out incorrectly. I feel like I'm doing these right, lead with the butt for squats, flat back, chest and shine at a same angle, but I might benefit from having someone check.
I would also try doing some wall squats (squat facing a wall with your hands up over your head) just as a gut check for your form. It's pretty impossible to do a wall squat with poor technique since you'll hit the wall if you do. I have very long legs and it's a good self-corrector for me to make sure my knees are pushed back far enough (they get achy if I'm not pushing them far enough back). It's 'easy' for me to squat deep with poor form since I'm longer in my lower half.
This is an awesome tip! Thank you! I will try it and report back.
Since it sounds like you're newer to exercise (I know you say you've been on and off, so maybe I'm wrong, but I have the impression from your posts that you're not super confident in knowing your body and the effect of the movements you're doing on it), I would first try to get a trainer or even a PT to look at you to make sure that you're doing the exercises correctly and that there isn't some kind of imbalance of the type wambam mentions that needs to be strengthened. If after that you're satisfied that it's just a case of wear and tear causing you pain, then I'd move to bracing. There are definitely situations where using gear to help pain is the right answer, but you also don't want to ignore an issue that should be fixed.

It's basically the knee cap - when bent to 90 degrees, there's a twinge, and when I kick it out, it kind of pops. I don't know enough about anatomy or muscles to point out exactly where it hurts, unfortunately.

Good morning! I'm new to this board, but have lurked quite a bit. I am a (hopefully) former yo yo dieter, and on and off exerciser (or?). I've now been eating clean for four weeks, which is crazy for me, and been working out semi regularly for three.
I'm already wearing a brace on my ankle when working out to stabilize, because it tweaks out on me sometimes. However, I'm new feeling some pain in my left knee when doing lunges and squats, and am considering a brace for that as well. Would that help, do you think?

I found way too much - 17 items. Yikes! But I saved just about half on everything - that's my story for when the boxes start arriving and my H looks at me, lol.

I second fitness blender. I'm on day 9 of their low impact program, and it's still quite the workout. I think it was like $10, and all videos can stream through YouTube.

On Instagram and Facebook.
Captioned: "It's been seven years, and my old glasses were held together with yarn, hair bands, and rubber bands. So happy for new ones! I OfficeSpaced the old ones, lol. #diemotherferdie #foureyes"
