I would borax or Diatomaceous Earth food grade everything you can. I also buy a cheap flea collar to go into my vacuum I'd never use it on the pets themselves. Empty and keep vacuuming. Also I've moved on to Comfortis as well but I don't have a cat so have to ask the vet about that one. I really am praying for a hard winter to kill all these bugs this year.

My go to things when I see fleas in my house b/c I foster a few dogs a year. 1. Buy a cheap flea collar and place it in my canister vacuum then dump and repeat several times. 2. Wash everything bedding, blankets, rugs in hot water and use some borax in your wash. 3. I do have carpet so I sprinkle borax on the carpet try to leave for 24 hours then vacuum that up dump and repeat. 4. I also have switched to comfortis for my dogs this year. Good luck I HATE FLEAS so bad my dogs got dumped in the shower when I just saw one on my pup.

One week of horse camp turned into 15 years of horse showing, pony club, and a love for horses. I agree get her her own helmet, buy some used boots and either jeans or breeches. How old is she I started at five.

I've been through it and it really helped get the ball rolling on paying off credit cards, cars, and student loans a lot faster than we would have before. I love the cash envelopes systems b/c it works better for us that way. Also you aren't required to share anything $ wise we only knew what you choose to share. We had on couple who were both pharmacists and I was a daycare teacher at that point making minimum wage, but we both shared the same issues either over spending and not enough saving. I really hope it helps your BIL and SIL and maybe you'll learn something you didn't know.

I also adopted a senior and lost him after only 11 months of him living with me. My heart broke like no other pain I'd ever felt. Take some time grieve you don't have to move anything right now or put things away. I left his bed and leash that he rode in my car for a good 5 months and no one was allowed to touch them. Take your time and do what you can do when you can do it. Hugs

I'm mostly a lurker here but wanted to give you some prayers but a recipe as well. Satin balls are soft and contain a lot of protein if you need to give them. www.holisticdog.org/Nutrition/Satinballs/satinballs.html is one recipe I found. Also you could give baby foods just make sure no onion is used. Hoping he makes a full recovery quickly.

Started riding at age 5 at a Hunter/Jumper barn in NC. Moved to KY and started in Pony Club where I focused on Dressage and show jumping, eventing scares me to death. I work Rolex in Lexington every year since 2005 I think.
Really wanting to find a pony to ride again but board is so expensive so for now I groom for my friends at horse shows.

You could also look into premade raw until you can get all your supplies ready to go. Bravo, Stella & Chewey's, and some others out there. I loved feeding raw b/c their poop is so small and it just disappears no need to pick it up.

I would not do the citronella collar. Make the crate a happy place treats, she can try sleeping in a shirt then placing it in there with him if he won't eat and swallow it. Try kongs that have yummy goodness frozen in them while she is gone. Maybe tomorrow before she has to work and def til next wednesday leave for a minute come back praise, give treat, play and build up to longer times. Hopefully the pup is crate trained and he'll find peace in there. Dap collar could help as could rescue remedy (some dogs it helps some it does nothing for)

Have you already applied for the dog or are you just asking general questions for now? I'd give them at least 3 days since usually these rescues are ran by volunteers with other full time jobs.

There are several ways to do a transport. One finding a reputable company that will charge anywhere from 100 and up depending how far you need them to go. Another is a run sheet that a volunteer normally helps put together and we do legs like an hour each until the dog arrives. Where are you located apprx if you don't want to be specific? Congrats on adding to the family.
