I shouldn't have to watch a video to figure out how a bag works. That is way too complicated. And I'd never use anything but the soft outside because that luggage strap is KEY in my world.
I think wallpaper is a lot easier than it used to be--especially if you use a paste-the-wall variety versus the old school kind you had to soak. I would SO rather do that then stencil the types of designs you're showing.
How hard is it to keep from wrinkling/bubbling up though? That's my main concern. I'm also worried about someone walking into our bedroom when we go to sell the house a few years from now and thinking NOPE.
Well the NOPE factor will be the same whether it's wallpaper or stencil.
This paste the wall stuff you just paint glue on the wall, then stick it up and you can slide around to get a perfect match on the patterns. Then you smooth it out by hand or with a brush. We did a small accent wall in like 2 hours or so. Much easier than I imagine stenciling would be. A bit more expensive probably - we used Graham and Brown wallpaper.

Also what's funny is my former ED said he had to give people the opposite news- telling them they had to come to NJ since we are HQ. I need to stay at HQ if I'm going to advance, so going to a hub isn't going to do me any good. I could tell he thought it was silly that they were making me move. Remember, I supported CA from NJ when I was on his team. This team wants everyone in HQ regardless of where their clients sit.
I just picked up one of your former employees who was told she had to move to HQ from Texas. Lucky break for me--she is awesome
Not at all cheap. But stylish, made to order, super comfortable. Mine should arrive in a week or two and I can't wait.
I have been so intrigued by these for the last few months. What do they do at the appointments that it takes 60 minutes? I'm thinking of doing the online one. I'm kind of willing to pay any price for comfortable cute shoes but I thought the ones featured in the article were ugly.
I tried on all the different styles in my size to see which were most comfortable and flattering. Then once I had a shape, they had books and books of different leathers and accents to choose from. That's how we spent the hour.
Pm me from the account you want all the posts deleted from. And you can change your display name as often as you want yourself, but the core screen name (and how people tag or PM you) stay the same no matter what display name you use
I'm loving Betterment. The app is great, they handle rebalancing, dividends, tax loss harvesting just like an advisor would, but for very low fees. If you like the Bogleheads/Vanguard low fee follow the market approach, but really want to set it and forget it, it's great.
I was looking forward to the release. I would seriously have considered one if I ever needed a grown up bag after your post about the strap. The price is just too damn high for me. It would have hurt to spend $300, $700 is a hard no.
right? Like $300 was a squinch my eyes shut and click "confirm" level of spending for me. It was my big "I got a huge promotion/raise" present to myself.
$700??? I know it was a painstaking process of design and sourcing materials and artisans and so forth and so on....but uhhh NOPE. I'm apparently just not boardroom enough for the new Alesya image. Bummer.
Yeah, it's basically a leather copy of the Lo & Sons bag. I wanted to fall in love but I didn't.
Yes, the above is exactly how it works. If you get sued for an injury on your property, your policy pays for your legal representation and damages or settlement up to the policy value.
well, this just leads to more questions:
What do I do (I know, get a lawyer) if I am sued, lose, and then want to activate this coverage in my policy? Do I have to find a million dollars and pay the plaintiff now and get reimbursed later or will the HOI cut a check to the injured party?
How guaranteed is the coverage, if the HOI still thinks the injury is not your fault and that the court is wrong can they deny coverage, leading me to have to sue them?
How often do courts award damages in excess of the standard policy?
The insurance company will provide a lawyer to represent you because you're playing with their money. At least that was our experience.
We didn't end up going to court, but if the court found Aunt liable, her insurance would have had to pay the judgement up to the policy max--no more decisions to be made. I presume there could be issues where someone was so negligent that insurance can get out of paying, but that wasn't the case for us (and certainly wouldn't have been in the case at hand). HOI covers any judgement or settlement, not just those where they agree with the court. They might require you to appeal or something.
We didn't seek above the max of the policy--but if we had, it's my understanding that insurance would pay the max and then there'd be a judgement against Aunt.
