Did he really think he could just fall off the face of the planet with no repercussions? Fuck that douche bag. Talk to an attorney as soon as possible.
And follow through on the threat to report the truck stolen. No mercy.
No. Filing a false police report is NEVER a good idea, people.
Go ahead and get revenge in other ways that are less likely to backfire on you colossally.
Unless his name is on the truck, too, if he doesn't give it back, it is technically stolen. It's not filing a false police report if he doesn't actually have a legal claim to that truck.
I'm so sorry. I've been there with a cheating husband. The pain is unbelievable. I wish I could just hug you. I promise, it does get better. In the mean time, I totally understand if you have fantasies of ripping out all of his hair one by one.
What a fuckwit. Did he not think you might start to wonder where he was all night? The cheating is one awful thing, but the total lack of consideration toward you adds another layer of shit on it. I hope you've got him scared.
I still can't believe that trashtastic bitch he was with tried to talk to you. I keep trying to understand WTF she was thinking but I'm just disgusted.

It may vary by state but regardless of if his name is on it or not if it was purchased while they were married it is likely considered a joint marital asset and he has just as much right to the truck as she does.
Besides the fact it's a stupid idea, filing a false police report is just more stuff the OP will have to deal with. I think her plate is full enough right now? Good lord people.
it's her truck, and he does not have permission to drive it. Ergo, stolen. Good lord people.

She said she found "his truck" in the parking lot, later she says "the truck". Nowhere did she say "my truck".
OMG don't nit pick and dissect her verbage. My old minivan was in my hubbys name but I drove it. Technically it was "his" but he never drove it. He would refer to it as my car.
I think you guys are overthinking.
However, don't report it stolen. I think you said you wouldn't which is good.
