Didn't she say once she wondered if the younger one would die to punish her for preferring her over the older one?
Am I making that up?
No, you're not. I think she's gone a little far with the favoritism posts. I stay out of them because, whoa. They're a little intense. Answering that shit is above my pay grade.
Woah! How did I miss that? That's fucking intense.

(Only halfway through the thread so far, but)
Seriously. WTF. "She doesn't mean it" and "She doesn't know any better" ONLY ONLY ONLY ever work (and only slightly) if the person doing/saying the stupid shit is like, 2 year old that is parroting their racist fucking parents or something and ACTUALLY HASN'T been taught anything better/differently. Any adult needs to just go the fuck away.

Sadly, I do not think the moderators have the guts to ban permanently Tambcat for the N word so might as well let Tambcat say the N word as much as she wants!

Yes, something very close to this effect. But overall that she has overwhelming feelings that something (death) is going to happen to E.
Not that her use of the n word wasn't enough, but I don't think a lot of people here did enough digging to also see her comments about her work having "token" employees (POC, minorities). Using the n word (seriously I don't even like typing that) isn't her only offense in the past couple days, never mind the past year. So no, I do believe people can be better. But I also believe that when people repeatedly show you who they are, there comes a time that you just have to believe them and stop giving them the benefit of the doubt.
Okay I'm going to admit something embarrassing. I thought she was comparing the black coworker to tokenhoser for like an hour / hour and a half??
Then I saw the other thing she said & was like holy fuck...
But yeah I wasn't too swift on the uptake there... What a gross thing to call someone.

This is like when I read an Onion article except it's real. Like every Onion article about Trump.

Yup. This is partly why I'm having such a hard time forming a coherent response to this shit.

Oh see I thought she favored the older one because she's talked before about how pretty the older one is and how she didn't think the younger one was as attractive. You know, just super important mom stuff.
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
I wouldn't write it out. I wouldn't say it. I don't think that Tamb would call someone that word. I think she deserves another chance. You can flame me. She has a really good heart and is the type to change.

I posted the call out thread on April.
I can not speak for anyone else but I typically read the op, I respond and don't read replies. I'm disgusted in my self that I couldn't take the time to read what everyone else had to say and then catch her post in real time.
I have also not done enough to call out people on their shit in the past, infact I mostly stayed silent because I felt that it wasnt my place but when everything started going down I vowed to change that.

You are an idiot if you believe that.
This point has been sticking to me since she posted it.
"she wouldn't say it to anyone's face!"
Well, except she did. To a whole lot of women at one time.

NO. None of us want to see the dog die.
No dogs need to be harmed in any flaming, no matter how deserved it is. Besides, a worse insult would be that I hope her husband grows his hair out.
I am nobody newbie from nowhere, so I feel like I have no business in a pile-on, even a well-deserved one.
I also believe people can change, and I even believe people deserve second (or more) chances.
But I also believe actions must have consequences. I think internet call-outs, shuns, and pile ons are pretty darn mild consequences. Especially considering the egregious nature of using that word in the context of talking about race after having promised to do better.

I've skipped a few pages, so maybe this has been clarified. But when the OP says "the n word" my mind immediately translates what that word is inside my brain. If someone refers to "n*****" without the astrick my mind skips the translation. So either way, word is in my head. If she was discussing the fact that she was upset the word is used, how is that racist?
You can't see the difference between having the thought of that word in your head, as a white woman, and having the actual word in your face as a woman of color? Really?

You don't need to type/say the word to make that point.
It never needs to be in the mouth (or fingers) of white people (posters).
Several posters here have described the visceral reaction they had reading it.
