That palette is so pretty. But if you've never had Mac shadows before I wouldn't start with a palette. It's not their strong suit. They're individual shadows are awesome (they were one of my first higher end shadows I purchased years ago), but their palettes are usually lacking.
Good to know! I'll have to find some review videos. Temptalia lists some of the negatives about the palette but I still think this would be worth it for me. Cool tones work really well for me.
I have it and it's decent. If you are looking for more cool tones, the dose of colors marvelous mauves palette is FABULOUS. I rarely wear warm toned but I think I'm going to grab the brown one because the shadows are so nice.

I ordered a 10 pack of Cosrx acne patches at the end of May, used one and now I can't find where the other nine went. I am so annoyed and kind of scared that they got mistaken for trash/packaging and got tossed out.
I want to know what the July ulta birthday present will be. My birthday is next Saturday and I want to buy all the makeup with my coupon but I know DH will get pissed if I start buying myself stuff after I told him things I want. Maybe I will just buy unfun stuff, and hide the box when it comes. Lol

The Cosrx patches really are the shit. I hope you find them. I bought some real hydrocolloid bandages and they just didn't stick as well and just didn't seem to do as good.
I finally made a decision and ended up with a new sleek highlight palette, makeup Rev sugar and spice, a restock of my Mario badascu spray, and some benefit minis, Mac lipsticks, some cover girl outlast lips, uhhh...I feel like Im forgetting something...and some stuff for my bestie who uses my phone number at ulta so helps me rack up points. $17 5ish total, $15 real money.
Placed my ultra order tonight too:) Big purchase was the two full sized Marc Jacobs perfumes Pear and Rain that smell amazing and I was crossing my fingers that they'd still be available when I hit 2000 pts woo. I also got the Mac Liptensity lipsticks Driftwood, Cordovan and Capricious as the freebie. I also grabbed the new Lash Paradise mascara and Maybelline Age Rewind concealer. $185 total and I only paid $20 No eyeshadows this time oh well.
Did you ever get one? I don't get emails from them (except one saying I had points about to expire) and I haven't gotten a coupon in the mail yet either. Of course I have stuff I want to buy!

I never get emails either. I've updated my info numerous times so I have no idea why not. I do get stuff in the mail though, but definitely miss out on the point promos.
Yeah same here. I don't understand it at all. I've even added them to my address book, as "safe" etc. It's bizarre. I'm calling in the morning to demand a coupon.
Hmph. Me too. I usually hold out until there's at least one overall GWP, but I was afraid if i waited till today I'd forget to place my order and miss the Mac GWP.

Good luck. I received 0 coupons last year as a platinum member and complaining did nada.
Curly PSA: I conditioned my hair upside down, put in some Milk, plopped for ten minutes, and then gently smoothed in some Japanese tea oil on the lower half of my strands.
The result was pure Boticelli! Way better than any curl cream, mousse, or gel!

How would you describe your curly hair on a normal day? I tried plopping once so far and my hair ended up looking absolutely insane. It likes to form itself into some weird ass shapes given the opportunity to dry without gravity pulling it down. But I've been trying to convince my top layers to curl like my bottom layers do and so far the results have been mixed. Maybe I plopped for too long...

I'll find a better plopping link. I definitely do NOT keep my head wrapped til dry. I usually do it for 20-30 minutes to set the shape, get some lift at the roots, and remove some of the moisture so it won't get weighed down.
My hair is loose curls...with product and diffusing I can coax it into ringlets. If I just wash, comb, and let dry, it looks like Rosana Dana Dana. With mousse or curl cream, it only lasts a day and is a tangly mess the next day. But wawa my default hair on a good day:
My method is wash, condition, go upside down and comb through. Rinse upside down. Squeeze water out a few times. Add some product. Scrunch into big fat curls (still upside down). Hobble out of shower awkwardly and scrunch with a towel a couple times, then get cotton shirt and plop (upside down all the while). Give it 20-30 mins, then remove shirt. Very gently fix some of the big pieces to the side. Air dry or if I'm up for it, diffuse until half way dry.

also, if your hair is wavy, instead of plopping, i'd do twists. you take 1 square inch sections and pull them up and away from your scalp and twist (pulling up and away gives the curl lift so it won't lay flat). all the pieces by your face should twist away, and then the rest should alternate directions (to avoid shirley temple ringlets). focus on the top layer of hair. the under sections can be twisted with much bigger pieces. once dry (either air dry or diffused), you can play around by loosening curls, also to avoid shirley temple.
bluestreet, so your hair sounds curlier than mine. like if all of my hair looked like the stuff that grows out behidn my ears it would look like yours, but mine has these annoying barely wavey patches in the top layers - though perhaps my problem there is that I'm not doing shit upside down. It also just sorta flattens out into a general body wave by day 3 rather than going messy/tangly.
I'll have to try upside down. If that magically turns my top layers into the ringlets I get on my bottom layers I'll be over the moon.
I just got an email from Sephora with a code for $15 off a $50 purchase.
Anyone else? I'm Rouge, fwiw. Hah, maybe they see that I've spent less than $300 with them so far this year and are worried....
I got it, too. Not sure what to buy cause I am trying to cut spending (i.e. stop buying eyeshadow palettes & lip products when I will never in my lifetime finish the ones I already have).

A relative will use my Ulta coupon, I couldn't think of anything I wanted.
I also got the one from Sephora. Those seem more limited throughout the year and of course have things in my cart. But I don't know if I NEEEEED any of it. I really am trying to cut back, but simultaneously dying to use this.
I got the Naked Heat and really like it. To be fair, I didn't buy the Peach or Modern Renaissance palettes, so this is my first warm set. While I like it, I don't think I'd need this AND the peach or anything else. I don't think I'd use this more than a few times.

I got a $10 off code (VIB). Not sure what to buy but I will buy something! (Even though you can use only one code and I live for the deluxe sample codes, I guess the $$ is better :-) )

Try this next time you have a little time to spare in your routine: do the plopping that I wrote about first, upside down, etc. Then when you take the cotton shirt off after 20 mins,* do about 5 twists with sections from your top layers. Diffuse. I'll bet that will get you the effect you're going for.
(My curliness has varied over the last decade with babies and hormones, so I've had experience with various levels of wave/curly/frizz/assholery)
*That 20 mins when I'm plopping is when I do my skincare routine, sometimes makeup and clothes too.
