I cleaned all my brushes today and went through my makeup stash, reorganizing it and throwing out or setting aside some stuff I will never use. Now it looks so organized!
In the process, I found some stuff I completely forgot I had. Lorac unzipped gold used to be my favorite. It had gotten buried under some crap, and I forgot the palette existed. I don't think I've used it for at least a year. Plus a few blushes and lip products. I'm so excited now.
i got two of the target boxes this month - all the masks and wakeup and makeup. i'm super happy with the masks set - i love masks and always am excited to try new ones (at any price point) so 5 (but one is three in one, so 7) for seven bucks is a great deal. but, the ELF palette in the other box looks waaaaaaaaay different in person than it did on screen. the picture looks like the two blushes are a light pink and then a dusty rose. totally in. but it arrived and in the box looks super orange/peachy. so, we shall see. i opened it, then was out all day, so haven't even been able to swatch it. and i was afraid of being even more disappointed than i already was, so i just shoved it back in the box to deal with later.
ETA: the second box also came with a full size covergirl mascara, a full size dove deodorant and an elf blending brush, so it's in no way a waste of 7 bucks, but i was hoping to really love the elf palette and i don't think i will now so ehhhhhhhhhh.
i've got the sun safety kit in my cart too. i've gotten it every year for the past three years and really enjoy it. this year it does have a good number of new products and some old favorites too. just trying to decide waiting it out until friday to get the discount on it. and trying to decide what sample to grab too...
ETA: getting a 100 point laura mercier eye stick though - have wanted to try those for awhile!
I just placed an order for the UD Bittersweet blush, I haven't been able to find a more purple blush. I also added the sun safety kit since it will be sold out by the time I can take advantage of the sale. And I got the UD gloss too.
I caved and got the sun safety kit with the free UD gloss to try out. I’m really hoping I get the samples I picked cause they’re all things I’ve been wanting to try🤞I’m excited I haven’t ordered much of anything for a few months now.

Sane! It looks good this year and I like having small sunscreens I can carry in my purse. And lately I never get the samples I pick, but I really like the ones I choose...

Also, not sure if anyone is still following but Nicola, the co-CEO of Deciem, makers of The Ordinary, got fired months ago. So that crazy Brandon is the only one who seems to have full control of the company.

Clinique's Take the Day Off Balm came in the mail yesterday. My skin is so happy again. I'd been using the green tea stick and it just made my skin red and angry. I've tried a couple other balms, but Clinique's seems to be the holy grail for me.
I'm still waffling on that Sun Safety kit. It looks like really good stuff, and I have a beach vacation in June that it would be handy for. And yet, I am terrible about using up deluxe samples, and I am pretty happy with my SPF situation.
And that Soft Glam palette. I have all those colors in one palette or another, multiples of them. But they are my favorite colors and Anastasia has put them all in one palette. I was thinking I'd use my 2000 Ulta points to stock up on refills, but I might crack and get it. I need Ulta to do a 20 percent off coupon.

I almost didn't get the sun kit for the same reasons but ended up caving because it seemed like a good deal. I've been using the Shiseido Senka because it's pretty moisturizing so hopefully none of these will be too drying.
And I have the exact same dilemma about the soft glam palette. I have >2000 Ulta points that I'm going to spend when they do the 20% coupon and I may just cave and buy it then.
I wouldn't have found that article but Brandon had to post yet another incoherent and crazy response to it using the company's social media accounts. *facepalms*
I'm honestly scared to try other products but I don't know if Deciem can survive this craziness.
