I had to laugh at DH. There was a small box from Korea in our mailbox this eve. When he got in the house he asked me what skincare I ordered. It's sad that I've ordered enough skincare from Korea that he's able to figure out what's in a box.

Emily Noel's review/swatches of the new Loreal Color Riche Shine lipsticks swayed me into buying a couple. They look like lip gloss in tube form. Other than that, I don't see myself buying any new makeup for quite a while.

I'm trying to decide if I'm going to try the estee lauder double wear concealer as an alternative to shape tape. it's half off at Ulta today, but I'll need to get 2 colors because I'm not sure which shade would work better for me. So far, all the supposed shape tape dupes haven't worked out for me. Either the coverage isn't there, or the color is way off. Best case scenario is I'll have to only return one, worst case scenario is that I'll have to return both.

Either her foundation is the wrong color or they didn't blend her jaw contour out. The rest of it looks like a frost bomb. Reminds me of frosted eye shadow from the 80s that I used to play with as a kid.

I’m really excited for the Sephora sale. I’m for sure getting the platinum bronze 6 Pan Pat McGrath palette. I know it’s the ‘boring’ looking one but I love every shade in it. I’m going to get one or two more things but I haven’t decided what yet. I’m really wanting the ND Lila palette but I think I’ll wait for the fall sale to get more of a discount. I haven’t bought any fun makeup yet this year so I’m looking forward to going a little crazy haha.

I am also unusually excited about the Sephora sale. I'm definitely going to get the Fenty lip gloss that everyone adores. I really want the Viseart Siren Theory palette, but I also have a lot of stuff to refill so I need to see how high my total is and how many of them I can get at Ulta with my banked 2000+ points before I commit.

S/o the Sephora sale, I just realized last night that I'm not Rouge or VIB any longer. Guess I shouldn't have been surprised, (cancer trigger) I was diagnosed with sarcoma in October so my makeup spending has been WAY down, lol. But it's a bit disappointing to lose that status. I guess I'm only going to get a measly 10% discount with the sale. Might not even be worth waiting for, considering I have almost $400 in Sephora credit but presents and GC's this past year and I have stuff I want to get.

I have an UO: I don't get the hype about the Fenty gloss and I own it. It just looks like slightly shimmery gloss on me, nothing special

Also, Viseart has really stepped up their palette game. They used to have just those standard big palettes for years and now it feels like they introduce a new palette every few months and they're all gorgeous.

Purple blush, is UD bittersweet my best/only option? It's so pretty but a little more than I'd like to spend but I guess Ulta doesn't carry it anymore so I can't use my points/prestige coupons on it.

Hmm interesting to hear this perspective. I really want a high-sparkle pink gloss. Lots of sparkle is more important than the shade of pink.

I’m sorry to hear about the health troubles.

The Sephora sale is only 15% off for Rouge so you aren’t missing that much. But often I’d rather a cool deluxe sample over a ten percent discount, so if you see a good one, you should take advantage of that for at least some of your spending.

I love both my Bite liquid lip and my Nars Velvet glide but they're both opaque. How about some of the Dior lip glosses, they look like pretty. Or a Dior lip glow?
ETA oh wait, I missed the sparkles part. I don't think the lip glow has sparkles. I bet there's a Marc Jacobs gloss that might fit your description.

That was my plan (the 2000 spree) but it seems to have disappeared from the Ulta website. The wet n wild looks pretty!

I wouldn’t say the Fenty gloss is high shine/sparkle. It’s more of a healthy glow look. I love it but you might not like it if you’re looking for sparkle.

That's how I feel about it too. And then one of the YouTubers I watch ranked 5 recent palettes and this one was her favorite. Now it's gone from "maybe I'll check it out" to "I think I need it." Because of course. Thanks YouTube!

ESF - if sparkle is your goal i'd definitely check out the new urban decay ones. they look super glittery to me.

as for the sephora sale i'm hoping to restock moisturizer and an exfoliator on the boring side. for fun i'm eyeing the glamglow glitter mask (now in colors inspired by my little ponies) and i'm mesmerized by the dr. jart shaker mask so might pick one of those up too. make-up wise i'm pretty set, but could always be talked into a mini set of lip products.
