Yall, I'm loving the look I got using the techniques from this video. I don't do the highlighter all over like she did. My MIL, unprompted, said my skin was glowing after I did this technique. The skin prep is super important too.
I mixed some strobe cream with my Fenty and used my UD optical blurring brush (I've seen them at Nordstrom Rack in the past) and used my Sephora airbrush concealer brush for applying shape tape.
Agreed! This tutorial is great; I had that It brush she uses in my drawer and hadn’t really used it much since I’ve been a sponge convert. Back to brushes, or rather, this brush.
Temptalia always has terrible blush photos. I think she applies it heavily so the color is more obvious. And she is usually testing a different color on the other cheek. I only find her face photos useful for assessing lip shades.
She's doing God's work I guess but this is amusing.
"Temptalia is a word Christine invented to describe the perfect person–“they’re smart, sexy, confident, and totally amazing!”
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
That's quite a word to describe a woman who must walk around with mismatched eyeshadow all day long, which must look especially fantastic when she's testing the latest shade of green lipstick. But yes, I do appreciate how she has sacrificed her face so that we can find out how well the latest UD palette performs and so that we can see what green lipstick looks like on an actual person. Because if it weren't for her, we'd have to get our reviews from the headband lady. ::shudder::

Has anyone heard of the makeup brand Palladio? I ordered a navy and olive WP eye liner from them. I've worn each one twice last week, not only are the colors spot on, they do not move, smudge or budge. Bonus - cheap! I'm going to order a few more colors soon to try. Black is the true test for me. They have a clear lip liner I want to try.

What is it about Nars blush and me? The colors seems to fade by mid-day. So the Narissist (sp?) blush palette is getting returned. I also picked up a Pur blush palette. Wearing it today, first impression - pigmented like woah. Fingers crossed it doesn’t fade.

And my first impression of Stila liquid eyeshadow is...meh. It takes forever to dry down so I had to put multiple layers on as it kept creasing because I didn’t wait long enough. Also...the first layer was patchy.

I have yet to find a blush that lasts on me. I dont know if I touch my face a lot and I wipe it off in the process? And plus I've just started wearing more cream blushes which I'm even less hopeful for longevity. I'm wearing setting spray more often now though so maybe that will help.

Cream blush topped with powder is usually my go-to when I need super long lasting.
For long lasting powder blush, I love The Balm.
ETA the Benefit tints though are probably the greatest blush workhorses but they are tricky to apply.

Most of my blushes are ok by the end of the day. Nars and I don’t mix for whatever reason. But I definitely use the tricks ESF mentioned above for when I’m outside for any length of time or want to make sure my make up looks like I just put it on at the end of an event.
