I really only NEED one $28 item from Sephora, but then I'd pay $5.95 in shipping. If I add the lip set I want, I'd save the shipping, plus $2.80 as an Insider. That's basically saving $8.75 on the lip set, right? Totally justifies it.

I bought TF Natural Face Palette and the texture is amazing and the packaging is so pretty! I have to go a bit heavy on the bronzers because they're not showing easily for me but overall, I love it!

Yes! The lip set is a fantastic value. It’s really unique stuff, sizes are generous, and the color/finish variety is great. It’s a good way to feel like you are getting a true haul without spending haul-dollars.

If you are not platinum, I believe you have to spend them within a year of accruing.

Correct.  I've never spent more than about $300/year at Ulta, so I've never reached Platinum.  I got so many points with a bunch of 5X and 2X birthday month points, plus returning a gift.  I only have 30 points expiring, but they will expire before the next 20% off coupon.

I guess I have not been to my Ulta in a while but they have a huge Morphie section now. One of the things I got with my 20% off is the morohie “fall into frost” palette. It’s sooo pretty! I’ve never used the brand before, but the shadows felt really nice. It has 28 shimmer shades and 7 mattes.

Why is it that every time I like a product, it gets discontinued? The latest casualty is the Too Cool for School Dinoplatz magic wand (makeup removing swabs). I found some on amazon, but these will probably be the last ones I can get my hands on.

I placed my Ulta order tonight. I'm very proud of myself for the restraint I demonstrated. I only purchased a new bottle of shampoo, the MR concealer, Alterna hydrating gelee (just finished a sample I'd been working on for 2 weeks and LOVE it!!). DH got 2 bottles of shave cream.

Some updates on recent purchases:

The BB chocolate shimmer ink (Sephora) creme eyeliner looks like an unexciting brown in the jar so I'm going to return it unused. I also got the Ivy shimmer ink but you can't really see the green unless you're up close. That one I got from BB online for 25% off so I'll keep it. I topped it with an emerald shadow single I have and that looks beautiful.

I also decided the Becca Prismatic Amethyst is just too much $$ to spend on an unusual color so I'll return that unused.

The UD Bittersweet blush is beautiful but reads pink on my skin. I'll try it with a full face and purple eye and maybe it will look more purple.

Who was it that was switching to more/all cream products? I'm thinking of switching to more cream. I don't want to spend so much on the LM caviar sticks just for an experiment but I might get the Kiko Milano ones instead.

i got my second sephora box today. i need to stop buying lipsticks. like probably forever.

i thought my ulta coupon was good for one more week (through next weekend) so i passed on this week's beauty break hoping for a better one but now i realize it expires saturday. so now will need to make final decisions on that cart.

i'm getting my makeup done on saturday at sephora before a friend's birthday party. think i'm going for a classic smoky eye and red lip. maybe with some glitter liner.

It wasn't me switching, but I just bought two of the BB sparkle sticks (new cream eyeshadow) and wore the color gilded yesterday.  It stayed on all day over primer and was very pretty.  It's sparkly, but a sophisticated sparkle. It also has a cooling effect when it's applied which I didn't know when I bought it so that was kind of a surprise.

I also bought the color galactic, but haven't tried that yet.

I ordered the Pat McGrath platinum bronze palette this morning at like 3am while I was up nursing and it’s already shipped. The one benefit to being up all night lol. I’m also grabbing a few things from Ulta with my 20% off coupon and that will hopefully push me over 2000 pts. I have a whole cart ready for a points haul but I’ll have to wait for the next 20% off.

I fell asleep on one of my armchairs and woke up around 12:45, so I placed my Sephora order. I got the Soft Glam palette, Hourglass Ambient Lighting powder, Anastasia Brow Wiz pencil, Klorane dry shampoo, Verb hair mask, and Juliette Has A Gun Not A Perfume. This is the biggest haul I've treated myself to in a very long time.

I don’t understand the question. Are you asking if you earn points when you redeem points? If so, no, you don’t get points for items you purchase with points.

That said, last year I spent like $180 and used $125 in points. At the time, there was 5x UD. I did get the 5x points for the UD item that I bought. I think they treated that as what I paid cash for. I might have played around with the order in which I put things in my cart to get that to happen but I can’t specifically recall.

Sorry, I wasn't sure how to word my question!  I think my question is around the "order of operations" of points and extra points and redeemed points.

What order do they apply
-Points for item
-Bonus Points
-Redeemed point credit
-20% off coupon reduction points

But it's moot at this point as I've placed my order.  (That said, I'll update when it posts to my account and I figure out my own answer)

i find them hit or miss.  Like, their regular pencil eye liners are shit, but I like the gel pencils.  Go figure.

I may have found a decent replacement for shapetape on my under eyes. I went to Sephora tonight and tried nearly every full coverage concealer they had (excluding L’Oréal owned brands). I walked away with a tube of MUFE concealer, and I will be testing it over the next few days IRL. I’m hopeful!

The MR concealer is on its way from Ulta, but I have low confidence in a shade match.
