Are you concerned at all about a run on the pills and people who actually need them now not being able to obtain them if they end up being stockpiled? I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but I've seen some things online about generally NOT doing this en masse right now.
I wouldn’t stock pile plan b (or Ella) or birth control. However, ordering medication abortion pills from an online pharmacy likely isn’t a problem. There are so many pharmacies and they ship worldwide that I think supply is ok. During the pandemic worse parts it was harder to get mifepristone due to flights cancelled but you can do a medication. Abortion with misoprostol only. I’m not saying everyone should buy mife and miso now, especially if you’re privileged and/or can’t get pregnant, but share the information with others so they have accurate info that pills can be bought online and if you don’t use them right away they’re still effective for a couple years.
It is in my state. It is illegal to get medical abortion medication through the mail in Texas.
We also can't get an abortion after six weeks here or in Oklahoma or Louisiana. Our options are to go to New Mexico, Arkansas, or Colorado.

Just like people order medications from other countries because it is cheaper, you can also order medication abortion pills from online pharmacies. Yes, it could be legally risky. Unfortunately, pregnancy outcomes in general are criminalized. However, it is 100% possible to order medication abortion pills from online pharmacies and it is medically safe to do so. www.plancpills.org/guide has a lot of information www.aidaccess.org is also another good source that ships pills to all 50 states and US territories.
ETA: here's another good resource for self-managed abortion and ordering pills: abortiononourownterms.org
This is why it's good to share this information so there's accurate information out there. Ordering pills online is still an option and will continue to be so. For discussion on legal risks for your specific situation go to www.reprolegalhelpline.org
ETA more: I'm not a lawyer, but the law in TX against mailing medication abortion pills is a law against the prescriber, not against the person taking the pills. But online pharmacies and organizations such as aid access have continued to mail pills to Texas and other locations around the world with restrictive abortion laws. My understanding is that it's very hard to regulate so ordering abortion pills online from online pharmacies (typically from overseas) will continue to be possible as it's been going on for many years now and in other parts of the world where abortion is illegal. So just wanted to clarify that.
underwaterrhymes , completely agree transportation is a huge issue. I'm not too far from DC, so I was thinking I can put my $ to places that are working to assist in transport.
They partner with other funds and clinics and focus solely on transportation, lodging, childcare, and other arrangements needed to get pregnant people safely to abortion providers.
Cool. How about do a law now? Fuck anyone in the Senate who preserves the filibuster over bodily autonomy.
And expand. the. FUCKING. court. You can pass all the laws you want, but they're just going to get kicked up to this garbage SCOTUS. Court reform is legit the way out of this. But, you know. They won't. Because they're (mostly) feckless cowards.
If you haven't seen the video of Elizabeth Warren yelling about all this, I highly recommend it.

Thank you!! This is so helpful and not surprisingly a lot of us here in TX are confused and upset about how our state limits abortion access. I appreciate your knowledge and you sharing it with us!
I am really considering going down to the supreme court tonight to protest. Anyone want to join me? rubytueVespasiaBernadinewawa I am forgetting who else is around DC but I know there are a bunch of us.
I felt really hopeless when I read about this earlier. Like we are going backwards. Then my state rep posted this, and it made me realize we need these local elections so much. We need to get angry, and organized.
I'm so worried the infight in this district is going to hand it to a R ☹️

This isn’t my district, but I’ve seen a lot of what’s going on lately in it locally. It felt like such a success that he was elected, and I agree with your concern.
Collins, one of the few pro-choice Senate Republicans, put out a statement tsk-tsking at the two justices on Tuesday after the leak of a bombshell majority draft opinion.....

Totally. No one can get on the same page between him and Newman. It’s not going to be good. We are not going to be a part of his district any longer, actually. The way the new map is drawn we will be part of the new District 3. I fear for the 6th, though. They cannot hand it back to an R after just getting it to go D with Casten.

But that's not what Kavanaugh told her in her office!! Because people never lie to get to the top!!

Losing Roskam was the best day and a hard won fight. I'll admit he wasn't my first choice but I've been happy he won. This all now is just getting ugly and going to give the R all the ammo they need to come for whoever wins.

I got moved out too and I'm 4 now. But have been so involved in 6 and knowing how hard we fought and now watching this. It makes me ill seeing everything. Back when he won it seemed even though there were so many people supporting diff candidates (8 or something) everyone seemed to rally behind Casten when he won. I don't see that happening this time.

I sincerely hope Amy Klobuchar throws a stapler at her head when she sees her.

I wish you all could have heard the message my husband left with her staff member today. I was cracking up. One snippet is that she is either the dumbest human on the face of the earth or an absolute liar if her claim is that she didn’t think anti-choice judges would seek to overturn Roe V Wade, and that she should have listened to her constituents who pleaded with her to not vote for their confirmation because we all knew this would happen. And then more commentary, and then he asked her staff to confirm they would relay that message, and they confirmed they would.
I’m shocked the phone wasn’t off the hook like it usually is. She is the WORST.

Two of the GOP candidates (Mastriano and White) for PA Governor also support total abortion bans with no exceptions, not even for the life of ther mother.

FWIW, I’ve been getting emails all day (womens march, I think) about going to local courthouses. I was at the office today and just got home.
I am on the train on the way back from the protest at the supreme court. I am horrible at guessing the number of people in any given place, but I would guess a couple of thousand? Maybe?
Tons of young people. At almost 40, I felt like I was older than most. That is both heartening and frustrating... Why are old men making decisions that mostly affect people much younger than them?
I couldn't hear everything, but I think the main protest was led almost completely by black women.
