Seriously. A lot of them went from saying they would absolutely never vote for him to voting for him reeeeal fast. What kind of leverage does he have over them?

I am horrified that so many could coalesce behind an insurrectionist. I should not be at all surprised, but it’s still just so unbelievable that our country has come to this.

It's unfortunate but predictable. I was worried something like this would happen. I think most Rs are getting desperate and realize this is the only path out. The McCarthyites had their week to stew and throw a tantrum and now ready to admit defeat.

I do wonder how Jordan was able to get there and not Scalise. Or maybe Scalise didn't really want the job.

Should be this afternoon or maybe evening depending on what the dog and pony show looks like leading up to the actual vote. They’re convened and doing roll call last I checked, with speeches planned right after.
