Is there a reason Obama hasn’t given an endorsement yet?
He didn’t endorse Hilary Clinton or Joe Biden until after they were nominated officially at the convention. I believe he says he doesn’t want to be seen as influencing the process.

I bet the younger generation will like a shorter election period. With Tiktok and reels and shorts, attention spans are so short now. Unless that’s my imagination!

I don’t know how we can make the cultural shift to a shorter season. They’re politicians. They’re always in campaign mode. I don’t care that France officially has a 2 week season since we still talk about them for months or years before
We could easily pass a law that says no paid campaigning (ads, events, etc.) until 6 weeks before the election. The problem is MONEY talks...too much people make sick money in this feeding frenzy. We could require public financing, which would set campaign limits. There's all sorts of things we could do, but it would also require revisiting Citizens United, where political donations are considered free speech & we'd have to reign that in...
