It is far from my ideal proposal, but had G done this I would have laughed for years. He is just not outgoing type and it would have been hilariously terrible and would have made for a fantastic story.
They've just started carrying it, Korean skincare company, owned by Amore Pacific, who make some amazing stuff (was introduced to them by my Nordies consult MUA, but it's out of my price range)...
I tried some while I was at Target today, and it seems really nice, and smells delightful.
Their serious focus is on hydration, which I could totally use.
Korea has the best skincare. They're way ahead of the game. I've only just started trying out Korean products, but their drug store skincare is on par with our Sephora level skincare based on everything I've read, so I definitely want to give it a try.

I'm just going to keep focusing on the obviously biased Think Progress article I posted because this is the kind of thing that makes me want to run and hide
Capitalism is here to stay, and we need a church model that corresponds to that reality. Read Nietzsche. Nietzsche’s diagnosis of the weak modern Christian democratic man was spot on. Jesus was a great man. Jesus said he was the Son of God. Jesus made things happen. Jesus had faith. Jesus actually made people better. Then came the Christians. What happened? What went wrong? We appear to be a bit passive. Hitler came along, and he did not meet with unified resistance. I have the sinking feeling that it could all happen again, quite easily. The church should rise up higher than Nietzsche could see and prove him wrong. We should love our neighbor so much that we actually believe in right and wrong, and do something about it. If we all did the right thing and had the guts to spread the word, we would not need the government to backstop every action we take.

This article is saying Brat is likely too conservative for the area based on polling on immigration and reproductive rights. At the very least it looks like it's not about immigration
What’s more, a couple of polls of the 7th indicate that on some issues, it may be well to the left of the Republican Brat. A PPP poll of registered voters released Tuesday found that 72 percent supported comprehensive immigration reform including a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants. Even among self-identified Republicans, 70 percent back a path to citizenship and 58 percent consider reform “very important.” Brat’s primary campaign focused heavily on his opposition to “amnesty.”
I've been laughing about this for weeks. It's the most bizarre thing ever. I am so glad I live north of Boston
Wicked bizarre, huh? I've never been happier about the 8 miles between me and the city before now
I don't understand not locking the door though. When I lived in the city proper, I locked all of the doors all of the time. I still do.
Since supposedly all of the doors have been unlocked, I'm starting to think it's someone these people know and he knows they don't lock. Unless there are tons of unlocked doors, he's pretty "Lucky" that all of the ones he's tried have been unlocked.
I don't understand all the unlocked doors. When I lived in Boston proper there is no chance I would have gone to bed without the door locked. Even now in the suburbs. Door gets locked before bed.

A Walk to Beautiful used to be on Netflix. I just checked and it's not there anymore, but it was a really great documentary about similar fistula surgeries in Ethopia.

Ugh why is everything so broken.
I have a semi unrelated question, but it's related to avoiding the Chamber of Commerce, so kind of related. We do a lot of international business and there are some customers that insist on getting a commercial invoice notarized by the Chamber of Commerce. It used to be no biggie because they would do it for free on the rare occasion I needed it done, but about 5 years ago they decided they were going to require you to be a member in order to get the stamp. I convinced them to do it once for free after they change their policy, but had to do some major bullshitting about potentially joining to make it happen and they were clear it was the last time. Since then, I've decided to charge customers $500 for the certificate with a stamp from the Chamber of Commerce, which has worked out perfectly so far, but I know that won't last forever. How the hell do I avoid them?
The bystander was only shot because he was trying to be a hero with his concealed carry and wasn't paying attention. They had told all of the customers to leave aka they weren't planning to kill the customer, but he got his ass shot because he is not the cops and shouldn't have been playing hero. I'm grossed out that the media is calling him a hero. No, he's a moron who got his ass shot because he had no business using a gun to protect the masses ... he is not the police
But as long as the good guys have unlimited access to guns, everything is good.
Fuck you NRA, fuck you.
I don't know how they continue that bullshit with a straight face when the evidence so clearly contradicts it. How many shootings have happened at places CRAWLING with "good guys with guns"? JFC, the assholes in LV shot two cops and a bystander with a concealed carry!

Standing near the registers was Joseph Robert Wilcox, 31, of Las Vegas, who happened to have a concealed weapon and decided to intervene "immediately and heroically," McMahill said.
But Wilcox didn't realize Amanda Miller, now inside the store, was with the armed man and he walked right by her on his way to end the attack. As he passed her, she pulled out a gun and shot him in the ribs, killing him.
I always do and am pretty disappointed at how low the turnout is. I especially like that I can vote on a Saturday.
We had a local special election for a ballot question on a Saturday. Typically, for a november election I see about 5 people voting plus maybe 10 people outside with signs. For the special election, they combined all 6 polling location, but even factoring that in, the place was packed. The parking lot was full, people were all over the place and I heard multiple people say, I don't even care what happens, I'm just glad people came out to vote.
I've never seen anything like it and have wondered if it being on a Saturday factored in.

I'm in MA and my H's last non compete was crazy. It essentially forbid him from working in IT for a year after he left his last position. He was working for a company that handled the computers for smaller companies. Very little of his actual job was tied to the company he actually worked for, it was mostly specific to the client. We would have had to move to find a new job if they had actually enforced it.

City of Chicago Sues Over Painkiller Marketing CHICAGO June 3, 2014 (AP) By CARLA K. JOHNSON AP Medical Writer Associated Press The city of Chicago is seeking damages in a lawsuit accusing five drugmakers of deceptively marketing a class of prescription painkiller that can be highly addictive.
The lawsuit filed Monday in Cook County Circuit Court states the city has paid nearly $9.5 million for filling opioid prescriptions since 2007. It alleges the pharmaceutical companies' marketing of opioids for long-term use to treat non-cancer pain was false, misleading and "unsupported by science."
The suit also claims drugmakers attempted to expand the long-term use of opioids beyond the treatment of cancer pain to reap bigger profits. The damages would be determined at trial if the city were successful in its case.
"In order to expand the market for opioids and realize blockbuster profits, (the five companies) needed to create a sea-change in medical and public perception that would permit the use of opioids for long periods of time to treat more common aches and pains, like lower back pain, arthritis, and headaches," the lawsuit states. The companies, the suit alleges, "set out to, and did, reverse the popular and medical understanding of opioids."
Chicago's state lawsuit is strikingly similar to one filed by two California counties last month. Both lawsuits name Johnson & Johnson's Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Purdue Pharma, Actavis, Endo Health Solutions Inc., and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries' Cephalon Inc.
Washington, D.C.-based law firm Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll, which specializes in consumer complaints, is involved in both the California and Chicago cases.
Chicago subpoenaed documents from the companies "to determine if we had the basis to sue," city spokeswoman Shannon Breymaier said. The city has worked with Cohen Milstein on other legal matters and the current case began more than a year ago under Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel's direction, she said.
"We have been out in front of this, and were the first city to start investigating this kind of lawsuit," Breymaier said.
Janssen spokeswoman Robyn Frenze said in an email that the company is "committed to ethical business practices and responsible promotion, prescribing and use of all our medications."
"We're currently reviewing the complaint," Frenze said.
Purdue Pharma spokesman Robert Josephson said the company hasn't received the complaint and has no comment. Teva Pharmaceuticals spokeswoman Denise Bradley said the company doesn't comment on pending litigation.
The other companies named in the complaint didn't immediately respond to requests for comment from The Associated Press.
In 2007, Purdue Pharma, which makes OxyContin, and three of its former executives agreed to pay $634 million to settle criminal and civil charges filed by the U.S. Department of Justice. The charges alleged the company misled regulators, doctors and patients about the potential for addiction and abuse.
Purdue has since introduced a new version of OxyContin aimed at preventing abuse. It's more difficult to crush, break or dissolve.
Mayor Emanuel released a statement criticizing drugmakers for deceiving the public about the "true risks and benefits of highly potent and highly addictive painkillers in order to expand their customer base and increase their bottom line."
"This has led to a dramatic rise in drug addiction, overdose and diversion in communities across the nation, and Chicago is not immune to this epidemic," Emanuel said. "Today, we're saying enough is enough — it's time for these companies to end these irresponsible practices and be held accountable for their deceptive actions."
Response letters are infuriating. It's clear the elected officials didn't even read the comments. Some staffer sorts them into piles -abortion, gun control, whatever. Then the form letter response goes out. It doesn't even matter if you're writing in support or opposition. Both sides get the same response.
This is what annoys me. It is their job to represent me. If I know damn well you're not listening to me, then you sure as shit aren't doing a good job representing me.
Ugh I was worried light would be the answer. My lips are so pigmented (there's nothing on them in the picture) that I have to do work to make them not show through lighter colors.
Your natural lip color is so pretty! You could totally wear a clear or very sheer gloss and look fabulous!
I am loving my Bite High Pigment Pencil in Rhubarb. It's a nice basic mauve, so it goes well with purples. Not to flashy, but would definitely give you a "your lips but better" look.
My inner lazy is in love with just amping up my own lips. My inner spender is going to go test out Rhubarb tonight.
No, not really. A couple things for me: Using 2.5% benzoyl peroxide twice a day has helped age spots and fine lines for me. I use 10% glycolic acid once every couple of weeks and that's supposed to help with age spots too. And I just rediscovered Dermablend concealer, which I find to be a fantastic product for covering blemishes and evening out color, plus it stays put.
I'm allergic to benzoyl peroxide (much to the dismay of my teenaged self). I used to use retin a, which I supposed to help. Maybe I should go back to the derm.
Are you allergic to AHA's too? They're similar enough that it's a definitely possibility you'd be allergic, but maybe not. Depending on what kind of reaction you had it may be worth a shot. Paula's choice has a dark spot corrector. I've never used it, but my love for her skincare products runs deep because they're the only thing that's ever made any noticeable improvement.
I need lipstick help. I wear a lot of purple/plum eyeshadow and i can not seem to find a lipstick that looks good.
What should I have worn today?
Your eyes are pretty dark today. I think something lighter and even with a bit more shimmer.

You have beautiful eyes! I feel like your blush color might be off a little too?
That's why I went to a professional, I never would have picked silver eye shadow and dark green liner.
Ha yeah the blush was crap I have 3 minutes to get out the door because i wasted so much time on my eyes, so I just grabbed the first one I saw and slammed it on my cheeks

Second, I'm always skeptical of those "best of" lists. Does anyone know if the products mentioned pay to be mentioned, or otherwise encourage their promotion in these lists?
No idea but the YSL youth liberator foundation gave me a rash on my face. It was glorious aside from the rash and the price tag.

Steven Colpitts, director of the school board that covers Stocker's district, told Canada's Global News that calling students out for the dress code is a "learning situation," not for administrators, but for kids.
"It needs to be clear that this is always an opportunity for the school to make it a learning situation for the students," he said. "To sensitize them about hypersexualization, which is often a topic that is discussed and the students are well aware of."
"She should have known better than wearing those shorts," he added.
The director of the school board is saying calling people out on dress code infractions teaches them about hypersexualization. FUCK. NO. Everything about that reads "teach girls not to distract the menfolk with their skin" because you know it's only a "learning situation" for the girl being called out for showing too much skin.
I think gel liners drying out is a problem throughout all brands. You can fix it by putting some glycerine in it and putting it in the microwave or some nonsense (youtube) or just get a new one. One of the videos I was watching recommended taking chunks out and putting them in sample jars to limit how often you're opening the main jar.
Bobbie Browns' ultra fine eyeliner brush is awesome for gel liners.
It is. I've had no problems with my Essence and it definitely shouldn't be clumping up. When I was binge buying them because I thought Ulta had discontinued them, I took my extras, wrapped them in Saran Wrap, and sealed them in a plastic baggie. I have no clue if this will help, and if it doesn't, I plan to try to fix it. In addition to the glycerine suggestion, I think I've read that eye drops would also work, although that might be just for clumpy mascara. I've also seen a video claiming that you can place the container in a bowl of hot water for 5-10 minutes to help soften everything up.
You know, I think I've read that Clinique has some miracle gel liner that doesn't dry out. Have I tried it? Of course not, I buy the ones that have drying issues
I believe if it needs glycerine or not depends on how dried out it is. Basically, a lot of what evaporates is the binder, so you need to add something in to make it creamy again if it's become a full on brick. This is the video I watched if I remember correctly, it's also were I got the tip to use sample jars so you're opening the main jar less often.
