I hate professional football. If the entire NFL disappeared I'd be one happy lady. My husband would ideally watch 12 hours of football on Sundays. No thank you! Football sucks! The only good part of football is the dip eating and beer drinking that goes with it.
College football is fun for tailgating purposes, etc.
I think perfume is gross and people should stop wearing it until they learn how to not bathe in it. Soap and water people, soap and water - it is really all you need. I should not be able to smell you coming down the hall (nor should my sinuses).
:Y:
Violet's PT bathes in cologne and I almost barfed on him yesterday (literally).

I agree! My mom is allergic and she goes into coughing fits and has trouble breathing.

This morning as I was walking out of daycare, one of the mom's smelled so nice, like soap or laudry detergent, I wish I could figure out how to smell nice like that, just nice enough without being overpowering. . . .
I think football and basketball are the only decent sports. Baseball is boring and needs to go away. I also think that if your cat is such a beloved pet you need to keep in inside and out of my fucking yard and off my car. Neighborhood cats have been scratching my car when they jump on it and I'm about to retaliate.
I hear aluminum foil will keep the cat off your car.

I don't think I would allow my cats to go outdoors now because I'd be too afraid of them getting hit by cars, but growing up I had outdoor cats. I really liked it because they could still explore and hunt and be cats and they'd come back and be snuggle partners. My cat knew how to open the window so he'd let himself out to the roof and climb a tree to get down. He would also meet us at the bus stop when we would come home from school (true story!).

I think it is silly how the standard tip percentage keeps going up. First it was 15, then 20, and now I am hearing it really should be between 20-30%
I'm all for tipping for good service, but for goodness sake. The prices of the meals go up, so the amount of the tips go up anyway since they are a percentage. But now the price of the meal goes up AND the percentage? I mean, are we eventually going to get to a place where you are expected to tip 50%?
How about restaurants pay a living wage and I tip what I feel is appropriate for exceptional service, not based on a minimum percentage?

I have heard that too, but im not too inclined to wrap my car in foil.
Moth balls apparently work.
I hate that smell so bad, though. We had a moth problem and got rid of it, but it seems to have moved to the storage room next to my apt and they are using moth balls. To counteract this, they have 10 glade plug-ins with lavender in the hallway. It does not cover the smell. So we have the odor of lavender moth balls. It makes me gag every day. I am starting to hate the smell of lavender.

The problem IS that restaurants don't pay a real wage to servers. As a waitress I made literally $0/hour (it was around $2/hour but after taxes my paychecks were $0).

How will this work on my car? I will try it
Neighbors of mine put it under their car to keep the strays away. It worked.
I only know this because Mt grandma is the crazy cat lady who feeds the stray colony here and she was getting threats on her life.

I think it is ridiculous the amount of people we are expected to tip these days. The Fresh Direct guy now too? Stop it.

I know, they really do need to be paying a living wage. But at the same time, raising the tip amounts is getting out of hand. When meal prices go up as they keep doing, tips go up with them because they are a percentage of the meal price. But raising meal prices and expecting 30% on top of that is getting ridiculous. If people can't afford to eat at restaurants as much (or at all) that's not going to be good for server wages either.
I don't feel I should have to tip people who make a wage. Wait staff is one thing and we tip generously/based on the cheapness of the meal. So if it's an expensive place they get 20%. If its a cheap diner for breakfast we usually give more than 20% because I feel bad for them doing all that work to serve someone a $7 meal.
BUT I don't want to have to tip hairdressers, massage people, etc. they make a salary and its expensive enough to avail of those services. Basically I very rarely do because I feel guilt for NOT tipping but I can't afford to go spend $85 on a massage to begin with then I have to round it up to a hundred? forget it.
Also I know at starbucks they get paid what, $10/hr? I don't see why I have to tip them as well as pay three dollars for a cup of coffee.
I like football and hockey, baseball is so slow and makes me want to take a nap...unless we're in a suite and I can drink myself silly and NOT watch the game.
I usually tip 20%, more if I get great service or Mia was a pill. It drives me nuts when the gratuity is already added on and you get crappy service.
ETA: Cologne/perfume - Totally agree, please don't bathe in the stuff. I just don't understand, can't they smell it? Doesn't it give them a headache?
I will watch one football game a week. I don't understand how people (DH) can watch every game that is on TV Thursday - Monday.
I'm not a fan of people who over-wear perfume/cologne, but a light smell is nice.
Tipping: I hover around 18-20% for dining, but stick to 10% for other services. I feel guilty not tipping as expected, because I know I can afford it and often times, the extra couple dollars will make all the difference to those I'm tipping.
I don't really like sports /watching sports either. Luckily hubby isn't into mainstream sports like that in a big way or we'd be in trouble. He watches football sometimes especially if the Pats are doing well.
I like football, its a fun sport to watch except for the damn COMMERCIALS! I can't stand how its like 10 seconds of exciting play then a bunch more ads/people standing around. 10 minutes of play = an hour of "game" screw that, who has time for that shiz. Unless you are drinking, then who gives a f$%* what is on the tv
Perfume: I hate when people wear too much perfume. I can't even count how many times I've had to use my inhaler at church because someone had doused themselves.
Football: I despise football, especially the obsession with it and the money wasted on it. Hockey is stupid too.
Tipping: I don't mind tipping waitstaff, but it is really ridiculous trying to figure out who else we're supposed to tip. I also have a hard time keeping up with what is considered a decent tip. When I was waitressing, 15 was adequate, 20 was an excellent job. Now, it seems waitstaff think anything below 20 is an insult. We usually tip 18 for adequate service, but I'm sure I've been stiffing service people all over the place.
I like swimming competitions above all other sports, though.
And I get really into football (soccer) with the family in Iceland! SIL's husband is really into it and we all get into it with him. Its an all day thing and the drinking doesn't start till the evening, but e enjoy it, especially if its a world championship or something.
I like MY perfume, lol, and the only sport I can watch is baseball. It's appeals to my OCD side in a way that things like football and basketball can't. Plus I like that it is slow because I like doing other things while I'm watching TV. Everyone here is into college football, and I haaate it. I seriously feel like my disinterested in football hurts me in job interviews, which is total bullshit.
Lol, yes. I like my perfume a lot. I don't wear very much of it though.
