For what it’s worth this is what my recovery was like
1 week of absolute complete care. 2nd week you can start to care for yourself but not kids. 3rd week you can be a contributing member of the house but still need to sit and rest A LOT 5th week - could stand fully straight and could watch the kids for like 2 hours at a time max and then I needed a good rest. 6th week - could resume housework
I've not had this. But I did go for my preliminary consultation. They are putting it through insurance with a letter from my primary and chiro. The wait for insurance was 2 months. I have another 3 weeks to wait, then I will call or they will call me to schedule. It's just the reduction though. I have no idea how far out that they are scheduling...
My question is anyone know is, do I need to purchase/ borrow a recliner to sleep in? If I am in pain, I don't really want to sleep in the same bed as DH and be constantly waking him up getting pain meds. I'll need him alert so that he can take care of all the other stuff.
Yes but the recliner! I got a power lift one on Amazon for $300 and slept in it for 3 months. I added pillows to it at night to make it extra comfy.
My son’s PTSA has a company that does all the school supplies. You pay like $50-$80 in May, and then pick them all up on the last day of school. So much easier and the PTSA gets a small cut.
We have this too and it’s awesome! Our school used EduKit.
Have you tried any meds except Wellbutrin? When I was just on Wellbutrin my anxiety was really high and that’s apparently somewhat common. I’m now on a lower dose of that and added Zoloft.
-sheet pan fajitas (premartinated chicken from Trader Joes roasted with frozen bell peppers) -leftover fajitas quesadillas (chop leftovers & mix with cheese)
I started day drinking this morning because DH brought my baileys & coffee in bed. Decided to drunk clean the house over the course the day so I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself. Then FIL took us out to my favorite Mexican (not tex mex) for dinner so no dishes tonight too! Then I took a weed gummy and ordered cookies from a bakery. So life is good right now LOL
We do it for the kids pediatrician and I LOVE it! I pay 1 fee a month - that includes all their well visits, vaccines, unlimited calls/texts and steeply discounted sick visits.
I thought golden retrievers weren’t picky eaters and we somehow have the one golden that is. I shouldn’t be surprised because she has quite a few other recessive traits (red, 60lbs at a year, thin) but it’s a pain and I haaate the smell of canned food.
Why aren't there more hotels aimed at families? Now that my kids are old enough that we don't really want to share beds, the choice seems to be 2 hotel rooms or airbnbs. I wish hotels would offer a room with a queen and 2 twins (either bunk beds or rollaway or something). We could make do with sharing a room if we each had our own bed.
Trying to keep travel affordable as they are getting older is challenging.
We stay in hotels frequently when we road trip and really like Drury Inn and Embassy Suites since the bedroom can have 2 queens and the living room has a sofa bed.
namasteak I feel you. Our house is small and I do think we're outgrowing it but buying a new home just isn't feasible right now.
The weird thing is, is that it’s great 90% of the time it’s just not a layout for entertaining. So of course my anxiety focuses on that and I think I have to have it perfectly decorated in order to have people over to make up for the size.
I love my house and it will work for our family long term but I often get house jealousy because it’s smaller for our neighborhood. Idk why I do this to myself because I don’t want a huge house! It’s probably just blahs from a year of slowly doing updates (old house problems) and not decorating.
I’m trying to be really patient with H tonight. But if he doesn’t close his fucking mouth while he eats or stop slurping his drink I will be on snapped
I will help hide the body. This is one of my biggest pet peeves.
Also I feel obligated to say, if I hadn't become a beneficiary to a trust I would not have had enough money to pay my kid's way through college. We would have helped. We had 529 plans set up. But no way would we have been capable of just writing a check and not having them take on some debt. I know this board skews more towards upper class so I wanted to say I was gifted money and that is the only way we will be able to do it.
Thanks generational wealth.

We were on track to pay half but then my mom gave some for the boys education =(
How does the Ilia compare to Bare Minerals complexion rescue?
I switched from Complexion Rescue to the Ilia Serum. The Ilia feels much more liquid-y vs. feeling like a foundation. It's really like rubbing a lotion in and then you kind of have to wait for it to "dry" a bit. I have really dehydrated skin and I find that the Ilia helps a lot with that. I don't end up with flaky dry patches as much. It does leave more of a sheen on my face vs. the complexion rescue, but I kind of like it since my skin is usually pretty dull and dry.
What is the average cost of a spay/neuter? I should have price shopped but did it at our vet and it was $370! That includes anesthesia & 2 meds for after as well but I’m still a little surprised at the price.
We will pay for in state tuition & room/board. We have great state schools and several neighboring states that give TX residents the in state rate. If they want to go to a private college or out of state, then they will need scholarships &/or loans.
We would also let them use this money for a trade school program if that’s what they want. They don’t have to go to college but they need some kind of post secondary education.
We will also allow them to work for a year and live at home rent free if they don’t want to go to college right away.
