It's getting there - still missing art on walls and plants hanging everywhere I can manage, plus there are boxes lying about. Don't even ask about the bedroom that I'm turning into a closet. It's a freaking scary place right now.
That said, omg you GUYS. I am in LOVE. I love my house, I love living alone, I love not living with some fartface leaving his shit lying everywhere and being a general jerkbag, I love it love it love it.
still needs art, and the bright ass light is actually a light green lamp. board games on the floor are going somewhere as soon as I figure something out...
futon - temporary sleeping situation. Not sure what I'm going to do here. I think I'll get maybe a daybed? This room is functioning as my bedroom and office (work from home) and livingroom all in one (the previous picture is the other side of the room).
I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THIS IS UPSIDE DOWN.
Bathroom. I want to paint it hot pink but that's probably insane.
Damn you tinypic, why are these upside down??
Storage-challenged kitchen. This would work well for someone who doesn't cook. That person is not me. But I think it'll work pretty well once I figure out how to deal with zero counter space (minus my butcher block).
Dining room/plant room and this is also where I keep my dishes because...well..there's nowhere else to put them. Getting a rug tomorrow. I don't like the table against the wall, but putting it in the center of the room is a challenge.

In '03 I was tracylvsjustin. In '05 I created a troll, silly*lil*goose. In '06 when I got divorced, I was silly*lil*tracy. Took a long break from nesting/internet in general. Came back to the nest around '09 or '10, but very rarely. Then when we switched here, I became walterismydog because I dislike my old name.

Sprouts used to be sunflower which used to be Sun Harvest. I really like the store, it's cheap and the selection of bulk items is awesome. The produce can be a little hit or miss. I do NOT like the meat from there.
Zinc, mega doses of vitamin C. I also have a little remedy that sounds gross but isn't bad-you boil water, crush a few cloves of garlic and some fresh ginger root, pour the boiling water over that and add honey. The garlic is anti-bacterial/anti-viral, ginger helps raise your temperature to fight the infection and honey helps with the taste.
Mmm, that doesn't sound gross, it sounds delicious.

I am battling a cold (day two) and I need it to just go away, I cannot take it anymore. I am bad at being sick and it rarely happens, and I'm just a big baby and all alone and it sucks. So far I am: -ingesting insane amounts of liquid echinacea, liquid vit d, and vit c pills -drinking green tea -no dairy, no sugar -eating soup and oranges/grapefruit -hot, steamy showers
What else can I do to make it stooooppppp? I really try to avoid western medicine/chemicals (I'm super sensitive to them and every single bad side effect tends to happen to me). I took one damn ibuprofen last night and puked...ugh.

Ha ha, sorry for the Oprah confusion, that's just what I refer to it as because one of the rare times I watched Oprah, she was learning how to tie it that way and she kept making OH MY GOD faces and it was just hilarious. I cannot call it anything else now.
Officially, in that video, it was called the European method.

I love scarves and wear them all the time. I don't know if I look like a douche or not, though.
I don't like the "oprah" scarf method - where you fold it in half and then pull it through the loop. No thanks, too preppy for me. I like mine kind of messy. I do this thing where I put it around my neck, grasp one end, spin the other end all around my neck, then pull that end through the loop it creates. That's probably a horrible description. Basically, I just play around with them until I like them.

I love pet names. What are some names your pets have had over the years?
I've had: Willie (after Willie Nelson when I was like 3) Bean Sweet Pea Belle Mrs. B (stood for monkey rat stink breath, an old lady with the worst breath ever) Oscar the cat (since he was found in a trash can, heh) and Walter (who I usually call Walrus)
Two. My Amex (used for travel, fun purchases, and work purchases that get reimbursed), and then our joint Citi Visa card (used for groceries, going out to eat/drink, and Amazon - gets crazy good rewards, plus places that don't take Amex). DH also has an Amex for his fun purchases. I seriously don't understand how people don't have credit cards, how do you pay for hotels/rental cars?!
That's the part that sucks the worst. I have to use my debit card for business travel and right now Hertz still owes me 200 damn dollars that they "held" from a few weeks ago. Not all rental car companies have this stupid policy, but when you go through priceline it doesn't give you the choice. Luckily, my hotels are usually booked ahead of time by my client or company.

I have nothing more to say on this. You should buy the dog if you want it and won't breed it, but these people should be more responsible and get their damn dogs fixed. Ridiculous.
My identity was stolen in a BIG way a few years ago (like, stolen by a methhead then sold numerous times over, I think something like 10 people had my info before it was all found out). Because of this, my credit was destroyed and I cannot get a CC. I've managed to get by just fine without one, though it would be nice to have one for business travel purposes.
