My plans for tonight are: pick the dog up from camp, vacuum and mop the house, eat something terribly unhealthy for dinner, watch Downton Abbey Season 6 Episode 1, take some Nyquil and go to sleep.
Oh crap, I didn't even realize Downton Abbey had started already!
Low: had to leave H to come home; and I slept like crap last night

High: I got to see H up in MD; I spent time with my sister, BIL, niece and nephew; saw my BFF at the fair on Saturday evening; had funnel cake at the fair (I had forgotten how good those things are)

We have a few of the Spice Stack units, and they live on a shelf in our pantry. You'd need a few -- maybe 2? The little drawers pull out and you can see all of the spices in the drawer. You can label them if you want so you don't have to search for the spice that you need.
When I got the clot buying drug TPA in the hospital for my PE, they charged my insurance $11K. For a drug given once. And my insurance paid something like $8800.
Yay!! How generous of them. When I was sick, I was able to get donated leave. My mom was about to retire from the gov't so she donated 104 hours to me before she retired. It was a big red tape mess but it helped us so much.
Confession - DH finally went to a sleep doctor last week for a consult about potential sleep apnea. He's always snored but lately it's been worse and he's been exhausted and falls asleep anytime he sits down. It's super annoying because we have so much to do at home and I'm left with the bulk of the work because I'm the only one awake!! He took a home sleep apnea test and we should have the results today. My confession - I'm scared that it's going to come back that he doesn't have sleep apnea and that he's just getting old and tired and that I'm just going to have to tolerate him getting old faster than me and somehow deal with carrying a larger and larger burden at home. I get really angry at the thought of that. I sleep 5-6 hours a day to his 10-12. And I don't sit down, im always working - so the workload is already uneven but I've always felt it was fair in the past, until recently when his sleeping increased so dramatically. We are going to need counseling if he doesn't have sleep apnea. And that sounds like the most ridiculous statement ever.
Sleep studies can find more things than just apnea. Mine diagnosed RLS. No apnea (although I do snore, enough that DH complains about it). I wasn't getting restful sleep, so I was stupid-tired all the time, and nothing relieved it.
I'm now on meds, and they are helping. It's a process to get the correct dosage figured out, though.
Yup, my H got diagnosed with sleep apnea and narcolepsy.
I listened to it. I actually enjoyed it. It's clear that they have had a lot of time to process things and recalibrate. They talked a lot about work life balance and how the blog had taken over their lives in an unhealthy way. I had gotten sick of them towards the end, and their description of how things had gotten for them made sense. It seems like they both have regular jobs (back to what they were doing before the blog)and that they have continued to do some of the things they were doing because of the blog (show houses, product lines).
I agree with linz that they will be around online more. Mostly to promote their book, but I think they will come back and post things again (albeit much less often).
Please send your rejected folks to me! We had to turn down an offer on our house after the agent started harrassing us.
Started harassing you?! WTF?
Maybe bullying is the better word. She texted, emailed and called our agent multiple times. Told him how our house was overpriced, but she only pulled comps from our street and for houses much smaller than ours. Our agent tried to talk to her about other subdivisions that were used as comps when we bought the house, and she continued to tell us that our agent with 20 years in the industry didnt know what he was tslking about. Then she flippantly said that if they were to buy the house, the would be asking for a new roof, new a/c and new carpet upstairs. Before there has even been an inspection. We decided that they would be too difficult to work with and stopped responding.
My H is flying down for the weekend! We've been living apart for 2 weeks now and I really miss him. Plus it's his birthday tomorrow. We're driving up to our favorite orchard tomorrow (probably for the last time) to spend the day. And then we're going to a wedding celebration on Sunday.
REALTOR, WHY DID YOU TAKE A PICTURE OF MY HOUSE WITH A BIG OLD BROWN SPOT FRONT AND CENTER IN THE PICTURE?! TAKE IT DOWN OR CROP IT. Yes, we have a few brown spots, but I don't want them spotlighted in our house pictures.
Thankfully, the offending picture has been cropped.
