Yup. Every night, I'm either sewing or knitting these days. There are so many other things on my to do list, but my list of projects keeps calling me name!

I decided to jump in with KCWC last week and ended up sewing almost every night of the week. I petered out by Friday night, but was done with *almost* everything I had cut to sew.
I loved having the feel of community...all these other crafty bloggers sewing along and sharing their creations. It was great! I'll definitely participate again in the Spring!
If you want to see more, I blogged about all of it. Blog link in siggy.
ETA: Hmm..can't seem to get the giant's longies picture to work. I'll try again after DS is in bed.

Lurker here, but wanted to chime in because my mom is from Paris and I've spent most of my summers there. I love it there!
Definitely go to the Jardin de Luxembourg. Pick up a sandwich beforehand and people-watch in the garden. Near the Jardin de Luxembourg is Pierre Herme. Expensive, but worth trying his macarons (and all his other pastries, but I'm obsessed with macarons).
If you're there on a Sunday, go to Le Marais neighborhood. It's one of the Jewish neighborhoods in Paris. Everything is closed on Sunday, except in this area so it's really lively and fun. Stores in Le Marais close on Saturdays instead. There's an excellent falafel place called L'As du Fallafel in Le Marais. I think it's on Rue des Rosiers. The line is long but moves fast. People generally take their falafel to go and walk to a nearby park to eat.
For an incredible view of the Eiffel Tower- Les Ombres. You get an AMAZING view, and the food is very good. It's pretty expensive, though, so you have to want some fine dining. If you go for dinner, you'll get to see the Eiffel Tower sparkling every hour for 10 minutes.
For even better food than Les Ombres but not as exciting view, go to Robuchon. Also quite pricey, but definitely a dining experience. This was probably my most memorable meal food-wise.
Oh and also- Le Recamier is famous for their souffle and is SO good. The servers are kind of asses, but the souffles are worth it.
Enjoy Paris!! We were there in May and it was fabulous. Can't wait to get back.
I finished a pair of fleece longies, a hat and half of another pair of fleece longies. I still have two sweatshirts and a pair of pants cut and ready to sew. I would have gotten more done last night but MIL made a surprise visit. I've definitely started with the easy/quick to finish stuff. Like snowballing debt...only sewing.
I did! I just baked a thin chocolate sheet cake, and used the push pop containers (ordered the containers and the stand on ebay) to cut out the circles-- I then layered a cake circle, then icing, then another cake circle, then icing. I'm going to do Coca-Cola Chocolate Cake ones for DS2's bday party.
Thanks for all of the compliments on the party-- we had a great time!
Nice! When hunting season starts is when my mom paints the house. My dad bemoans colors, but you can't have a whole house white. So I help mom paint he comes back and Bam! The bathroom is purple, what you going to do about it?
Hahaha, that is hilarious!
CraftyMrs- nice! Happy crafting season opening day :-)
Awww, that dress is so cute. And I love the cake. I made a rainbow cake for DS's first birthday this year. (pics here if you want to see mine www.fraisesettartines.com/2012/07/rainbow-cake.html ) I was lucky enough to borrow my friend's 5 9-inch pans when I made it, so it only took 1 extra round of baking to do it. Even with that, it was an intense cake to make, but like with you said, big hit! I love your version with the "3" on it!
I think I'm in. I want to be in...there hasn't been much sewing going on here lately and I need motivation. That and I have many many projects I want to finish. So yes. I'm in.
And shhhh.... but, 20% off something that's 50% off, is really just 60% off. And I'm pretty sure fleece was actually 40% off. And the 20% off your total coupon in the flyer is good through the 4th. Don't tell him- it's too adorable.
Oh gosh, you're right. But 60% off is still great! And I hadn't gotten the flyer coupon out of the mail, so I was still thinking I only had the one that expired yesterday. I definitely wont tell him.
He's normally very sweet but doesn't love going to the fabric section of a craft store. I think he's pretty excited about the 49ers longies, though, hence part of the motivation.
By the way, the 49ers longies project turned into a 49ers pants project because hubby went rogue and bought 49ers minky. Haha...I don't think they'll work as longies over a fitted, but they'll be warm and cozy either way!

I tried to go to your blog just now and got a malware warning from google. Obviously, it's not from any of your content, so I'm hoping you didn't get hacked! Just thought you should know.

Oh that top one!! I love the colors and the design. That makes me want to sew for a girl. And I love that you put yellow shoes on her with that outfit. So cute!
Everything is great, but I'm obsessed with the top one

I wasn't feeling like going out tonight, but wanted to get to Jo-Anns before they close because I need red fleece to make DS some red and gold fleece longies (49ers!). Also, I have a 20% off sale items coupon that expires tonight, and I'm pretty sure the fleece is 50% off right now. So 70% off! DH offered to go get the fabric for me, even though he's only set foot in there a few times. Such a sweetheart!
The funny- I wrote him step by step directions for how to get to the fleece. It's a pretty big store and I don't want him to get lost! Haha...

I love Adeline, much more than Adalyn. I agree that people will call her Addy, but maybe less so if you always call her Adeline. My friend named her DD Penelope and you'd think people would call her Penny, but since her parents always call her Penelope, that's what other people call her.
