We haven't taken Ruby "out" really. We've taken her to quick store trips, but nowhere for longer periods. Flu is crazy around here and with her breathing problems already we weren't risking it. The pedi recommends all of her winter babies stay mostly in until spring really. She's not a very conservative pedi so it surprised me.
Such a beautiful little chunk! How is her breathing?
Thanks for asking! It's pretty good. She still retracts most of the time, but not nearly as bad as before. It's gotten a little noisier, which is typical of laryngomalacia (sp?) but we've had her O2 periodically checked and she's doing well still! Now we think she has a milk allergy and is getting all congested so it's hard to tell what's what.
You must have some killer biceps! She is so adorable!
oh my god my arms are getting so strong. She's started laughing and thinks it's funny when I grunt and make an ordeal of picking her up to burp her after every stinking oz of her 7 oz at a time... and thank you
I am enjoying this newb related positivity and loveliness as I reach that place in pregnancy where I am beginning to convince myself that it will be GREAT FUN and NOT TIRING AT ALL to have a baby to care for 24/7
I am very minimally more tired this time. I think just being used to it after the first time helps some. Plus I ended up with a great sleeper after a crappy one so maybe the universe was giving me a break. But just caring for a baby around the clock is easier to me after the first time.

We tried to take Linus one time this past winter. He was sooooo excited about his new haircut because we watched the bubble guppies hair cut episode. Got there and no freaking way. He completely freaked the fuck out. Would not even sit in the little plane/car seats at the kid's hair salon. Tried to have him sit in DH's lap and DH could not physically restrain him. So we left and were THOSE people. So I've been kind of cutting it since. I feel like it looks funny though and I don't know what to do to it. :/

I think I'm getting trikes for both kids honestly. Fiona would def not understand a balance bike yet. Linus... Let's just say he's as sweet as can be, but he is a big ol klutz. He wouldn't even ride the little ride on toys until he was so big he dwarfed them. I'll probably look at more of the big wheel type for him though. I'm getting Fiona one that we push her on first, probably the joovy tricycoo.

For some reason I'm irrationally pissed that ruby is leaning toward a milk allergy.
I can't go a single day (hell, today it was less than an hr) without getting pissed at dh. Sometimes I have no idea how we live under the same roof.
This week he told me he would like if I could not go anywhere this weekend (mind you I can't really go anywhere during the week with all the kids yet, he had a day off this week, and a half day yesterday so we could do appts) so we could have family time. So I'm going out tomorrow. Screw that buddy. His parents are still out of town and for our children's well being I cannot be stuck with them 24/7 for weeks.
I am addicted to entemanns (however you spell it) Devils good cake donuts. Like unhealthily obsessed. It's gotten to the point where I just started bribing myself at the store. If I don't get them I get to put $5 into my tattoo fund. It's sad.
Fiona hasn't met her speech milestones the pedi set. We were "on watch" at her last appt, but not much has improved. So she has to start testing/evaluation/whatever they do.
