Work bff/now manager just asked me if I had fun plans for next Friday, since she just approved my PTO request. I told her I have an interview elsewhere, and she's all "I'm going to talk to the big boss and see what we can do for you". LOL. Nice thought, but they already told me no and filled the open positions. Where is some new opportunity going to come from?
Today is the first day in a week that my contractor won't be at the house. Sweet! My bathroom work is finished until the reglazing guy comes to do the tub and wall tiles on the 8th. It was so lovely not to have to walk down to the basement to shower this morning.
You admitted you were interviewing? I'm impressed! I'm totally keeping mine on the DL lol.
It's H and I's 10 year anniversary today, but we have no plans lol. He's working tonight and this weekend we are taking the kids to the movies and dinner. Fun times!
Just a FYI, even if your policy is something like July-Jun, your deductible can still run Jan-Dec. She definitely needs to call her insurance company, but if her plan runs Jan-Dec, then her deductible will re-set Jan 1st. If she has any questions, I might be able to help. I deal with this stuff on a daily basis.
That seems odd... I have always hit my max out of pocket in August/September and don't pay another penny for medical bills until the following July when the insurance resets. Why would the deductible be different than the policy year? That is confusing.
I agree, it is confusing! But it is a possibly. I see it a lot and I'm sure it is confusing for the members because it would be for me!

I think their couches hold up well, in my experience. I also have one of their gel/foam beds and I LOVE it. I do agree with the PP that their dining room furniture is not so good. The table I got there is okay, but the chairs are horrid. The padding has completely flattened out and the "leather" has ripped in places. It's not quite 3 years old.

These glasses are interesting! Both my sons and I have a mild red-green color blindness. I kind of want to buy them just to see what I'm missing out on, but they are a bit pricey. These are really cool though!

I don't post over here, but I saw this and just had to comment. I have a Master's degree in Economics so I love stuff like this. My reply to this is sort of on the "well duh" side in that this argument between the two sides has been going on for a long time. Both sides have their pros and cons and I've always found them fascinating. Thanks for posting this!

The whole Duggar thing disgusts me. What makes me ponder the world we live in are the comments in support for this family. WTF? Seriously, just WTF? You know if he did this to his brothers, it would have been a different story because OMGZ the GAYZ!
I did this recently at DD. The lady who was putting food together said to the cashier, "oh she is here all the time, just pay next time". It was a little embarrassing that I am so well known but I got my coffee and donut. I did pay the next time.
I am pretty sure it is chick fil-a policy to always give you the food as well. So if you want free hate chicken just "forget" your wallet. I read it on the internet or something.
This just happened to my H this morning at DD. The lady at the drive thru knows him and just told him to pay next time.

Well crap. I've wanted one of these forever, but I was nervous it would suck. I didn't want to risk it for that much money. Now I need one. I might have to tell my H it's my birthday month and buy it lol.
I bought water pillows off Amazon. They are 1/2 pillow, 1/2 waterbed lol. They are amazing. I've never slept on such a comfortable pillow. I know it sounds weird but they are so good!
Here's the one I have but it looks like there is another brand as well.
For those asking, I work for a major insurance company.
The pros: the flexibility, being able to sleep until 8 or 9, being home to get my son off the bus. The cons: Honestly, there aren't any for me. I am a huge introvert and not having to talk to anyone at work is a huge perk for me. If you enjoy this type of interaction, I can see that being a con.
I've been working from home for the past 8 years and I completely love it. I've joked before that I would quit if they made me come into the office. It really makes life so much easier for me.

Gault - Can you call and set up payments? Most offices allow this. I do it all the time because I don't like to drain my HSA account.
B freaked me the fuck out last night. He came into my room at like 5am because "the faces woke him up". I was like :/. He then settled in next to me. I hear him moving around and find him sitting up looking towards the other side of my bedroom. I asked him what was wrong and he told me the faces were all there. Then he looked at the wall where my bed is against and said, "See? There's one right there. Do you see it mama?"
I just got back from vacation yesterday. While I am happy to be home, I'm exhausted and the kids did nothing but fight last night. After they apparently were angels for the last week for my mother. Figures lol.
This sounds so incredibly like the company I work for that I'm wondering if it's the same one. I'm sorry your friend was treated so shitty like that. I hope she has some kind of recourse because that's just not right.
