I'm with your husband. I like dogs but do not want one and will never have one. I know how much work they are and I'm Judy not interested. Having an animal that isn't fully wanted seems like agood way to breed resentment.
you think you can just pop up in here without saying hello and updating us??
hiiii!!!!! how are things?? you are missed around here, lady!! <3
Hey there! Ireally miss everyone but between work and the time difference its so hard to get on. Everything is great! Work is busy but good, h is good and we are currently ttc. My parents are visiting and we headed to Munich but h couldn't come How are you?!

Oh I can help. What types of things are you looking to do/eat in Edinburgh?
eta: and when is it you're coming?
etaa: I can read. I see you're coming in July. Let me know what you're interested in and I'll have suggestions for you
Hi Meggers!!
I'll be in Edinburgh 7/10-7/15. The main things I want to do are Arthur's Seat and The Royal Mile (obviously). I can't get over the weather in July there. High in the 60's?? Holy shit. That's like a Texas winter.
We'll have David with us so can't do any late night pubs or anything. Where's a good place to eat? Any suggestions would be great. We aren't picky eaters and like anything from casual to $$$$ (we do a little of both when we travel). I'd also like to meet up with you if you're able. I just realized we'll be there during the week, hope you can still swing that!
First things first, you can pretty safely disregard any idea that you'll know what the weather will be like. In July it can be anything from 12-32 Celsius, and rainy, sunny, windy or most likely a combination of all three lol. Bring layering pieces and always have a scarf and hair elastic.
Arthurs seat and royal mile are cool free things, so good call. Someone else mentioned the free tour. Sandemans new Europe does an amazing tour twice a day for free and it's the best way to get started learning about the city. They also do a ghost tour (paid, but not expensive). It's a bit creepy and a bit hokey, so something a little boy might like. The museum is free as well and worth a visit. if you go to the castle (which you should) be there in time to see the 1 o'clock gun go off. It's a little ceremony everyday and totally worth seeing. Be there no later that 12:40 to get set up to watch. if you guys like whiskey I recommend the whiskey tour right by the castle. I've seen kids on it and it's enjoyable for all ages. Camera obscura is also by the castle and good for kids, though I've never gone. For food: if you like tea go to eteaket for lunch. You can get a tray of sandwiches and desserts and they have a million teas (or hot chocolate). It's an adorable cafe right in town. for Thai food, lunch or dinner, try our chaophraya. It's right in town as well. You'll need to call and reserve but it's inexpensive (ask to sit in the glass room, it has great castle views). For a great burger and an different kind of beer list, go to Cambridge bar. for lunches I would recommend just going to marks & spencer right on princes street and just grabbing a bunch of things to eat on the gardens on a nice day. The food if good, portable and cheap. for more expensive meals I haven't been, but have heard great things about the Witchery which is up by the castle. Leith (my area) also has 2 Michelin star restaurants. I believe they both do lunch menus as well.
Ill try to think of more things. Or if you hear of a place let me know and I can hopefully give you a review. I would love to see you for a drink or something while you're here
