When c was around 4 she had something similar. She would get random headaches that were awful. She would scream sometimes. It was scary! Her pedi sent her for a ct scan and it turned out to be sinus issues. It could also be a need for glasses, molars, etc. I understand being worried but it can definitely be something simple! ❤️

Phew thanks! I was thinking $50 too but didn't want to feel like I wasn't paying enough. She lives a few blocks away and will literally be here for maybe 5-10 mins at a time. I know C would be stoked for $50. Thanks!

We will be out of town for 10 days. A friend of Cs (she's 13) will be coming by every day or two to feed and water cats and rabbit, scoop the boxes, and water plants. What would be a reasonable amount to pay her?
That's not the rule in CA. The CA driver's manual recommends that you pick a lane and stay in it rather than moving left to pass, then back right, then back left to pass again.
During commute times our left lanes are specifically for carpools, so definitely cruising not passing lanes.
From the CA DMV website:
"Drive in the lane with the smoothest flow of traffic. If you can choose among three lanes, pick the middle lane for the smoothest driving. To drive faster, pass, or turn left, use the left lane. When you choose to drive slowly or enter or turn off the road, use the right lane.
If there are only two lanes in your direction, pick the right lane for the smoothest driving.
Do not weave in and out of traffic. Stay in one lane as much as possible. Once you start through an intersection, keep going. If you start to make a turn, follow through. Last minute changes may cause collisions. If you miss a turn, continue until you can safely and legally turn around."

I love you, V. You have brought so much light to this world. I continue to pray for peace for you and your entire family. I hate that this is happening to you. You will always be in my thoughts and prayers. <3
Oh good lord. Mil left a VM for H on Friday reminding us not to stare at the sun. Apparently she called him a little while ago to reiterate that. She also suggested he leave for work early so he's not outside during the eclipse.
😂😱
I am so confused by what people think the eclipse is lolololol.
Also, MILs are old enough to have been through several eclipses. Like I've been through a few that I can remember. This mass hysteria is so weird. We're all gonna burn our eyes out!!

I'm laughing at all the fb advice to keep your pets inside/away from the sun. I saw someone say she's putting foil on her windows so her cats won't look at the sun. What in the everloving fuck?

Ours isn't open Saturday or Sunday! It sucks. We are always looking for things to do on the weekend and it would be nice if there were library activities then.

Praying for you and your entire family, V. I hope you all have peace during this time. I'm so incredibly sorry that you have to deal with this horrible fucking disease. You are always in my thoughts and prayers. Love you.

If my kids were in traditional school and we were within (short-ish) travel distance to see totality I would totally pull them out. I'm actually kicking myself because we are going on vacation on the 31st and we will be near the path of totality, I wish we were going on the 21st instead!

V, your courage and grace and strength is so amazing. I'm thinking of you every day and I will be saying a special prayer for recovery as you go through this surgery. Love you, lady <3

I have astigmatism and so does my middle daughter (10). She was diagnosed when she was 2 and has worn glasses ever since. She is SUPER nearsighted. I agree with the rec to see a pediatric ophthalmologist. 2 of my girls wear glasses/have eye issues so we have been seeing the pedi ophthalmologist since they were toddlers.

I have both but usually carry the pepper spray instead of the stun gun. The stun gun scares me more and I'm afraid of hurting myself with it. I carry the pepper spray when I go on walks when it's dark outside.

The older two were probably 4-5 when they transitioned. B is 5.5 and tiny (35 lbs) and she has been around the same weight for a long time so I don't see her moving anytime soon.
Have a morning routine and a routine at night if they are old enough to do homework I also try my best to get him to eat in the morning. I will make him anything he wants so he doesn't go to school on an empty stomach. 7th grade starts today! He just left for the bus stop
Eeekkk, it goes sooo fast huh! My oldest is starting 6th grade (middle school) at the end of the month! I hope he has a good day
C is starting 8th grade in 2 weeks and I can't even wrap my mind around it.
