Since it seems to be will/estate day here, I have a question. How long does it typically take to settle an estate (with a will)? I know this will vary by state, but just trying to get a general idea.

Before we moved and sold both cars, I had a 2011 Volvo XC60. I hated how big it was, but we were convinced we needed something that big when we had twins. I think I would have preferred an Audi sports wagon or BMW wagon. I hated how big the Volvo was but needed the cargo room. Once the kids are solidly out of the stroller (we are SOOOO close), I think I will go back to a sedan.

I think my latest pair was the most expensive at $120. Generally I keep it less than this, but I've also moved from a MCOL to a VHCOL so I've had to change my expectations.

I had mine out several years ago. I don't remember any issues immediately (although the pillow sounds like a good idea). I would stick to a fairly simple, low fat/low grease diet for awhile afterwards. I had digestive issues for a little while (maybe a couple months) while my system sorted itself out. I'm fine now and am back to eating all the crappy junk food I ate before.

My husband must have been raised in the same family as asoctoberfalls husband. His sink is disgusting. We had awesome double sinks with tons of storage in our last house. We compromised on the current house (rental) and have a single sink. I hate it. It is always disgusting. It always has toothpaste or hair or something in it now.

0 for 2015. For 2014, they gave us a nice bump. We sold both of our paid off cars for a decent chunk of change. Now if we could just do something productive with that money.

My mom was amazing when I had my kids. She basically moved in for 5 weeks in order to help us care for the twins. i don't know what I would have done without her. My dad doesn't spend much time by himself so it was a sacrifice for him too. They also were huge helps when we were moving. They helped clean out the house, organize stuff to put the house on the market (including painting), and the kids and I moved in for over 3 weeks while our furniture was delivered. I don't know where I would have gone otherwise.
Advice? Tell me what to do. I feel like I'm in a rut and just dreaming of the future instead of living in the present. I'm having a hard time making decisions and getting motivated.

Yes, the kids did. My kids were one of the few kids in nursery school to not get sick, the doctor said it was because they have had flu shots their entire lives. Here in the UK, they don't seem to like vaccines so most people don't get the optional ones.
Slight update: he's stable, though still on a machine that pumps his blood. He's having a procedure tomorrow. No idea on cause.
This sounds encouraging to me?
UnderProtest -- he's at Royal Brompton (which sounds like a good place to be, as it is a specialized hospital for heart/lungs). Do you know of any food around that area?
Chelsea has everything and that's right off the Kings Road (where everything is). So Pret, Eat, Paul's, Caffe Nero, etc will all be close. Also takeaway.com and justeat.com deliver, just not sure about the hospital regulations.
I had taken a bunch of makeup samples home at Christmas for my mom and sister to go through. Upon finding a glitter eye shadow she declared she doesn't wear glitter eye shadow because she's not a whore and doesn't work a pole. My sister and I looked at each other, and I said I didn't realize I had a second job.
I always have a picture in my mind, but it usually isn't a real person. It often irritates me when they make a movie out of a book and the actors don't match up with what I envisioned. It also throws me when posters here don't match up with what I had in my mind. I guess I think everyone is blond here.
Someday when we have our MM convention, we'll see if you're right <)
Ha. I've already seen enough pictures to know I'm really wrong.

Food/dining out without a question. Hopefully travel will increase next year to outweigh that. Food seems like such a boring thing to be spending so much money on.

Years ago, I had an issue with Home Depot. They knew what they did and what the acceptable solution was, but they were unwilling to do much about it until I pushed and pushed. It took talking to the store manager and him coming to my house to see the issue (it had to do with the HD services installing cabinets) to see that their "solution" wouldn't work. In the end (after much fighting), I did end up getting a solution that worked. Good luck. I wouldn't accept anything other than the fridge you purchased for the price you purchased it.

My MIL actually got mad that the US post office workers didn't know international mail/customs policies and didn't inform her of them. She thought that the wonderful US postal service should know the UK customs laws. She was outraged.
Luckily my husband has been slowly introduced to my participation on this board by meeting RockNVoll. Apparently she passed muster so he's less skeptical now.

As requested! They fit perfectly! It was interesting to try to explain fingerless gloves to my kids (and why I got some gloves in the mail to my husband).

So after a horrific car ride home from Christmas, I walk in the door to find a package from audette! In the midst of her move, she sent me a pair of gloves she knitted! They are beautiful! I wish I could knit!
