I tried using the HAES directory to search for physicians and dietitians in my area but none came up. However I did find a dietitian whose website/FB page and her posts about her philosophy seem on line with that framework. She is anti-diet for one. She didn’t state PCOS but said she has experience coming up with meal plans for diabetes and other diseases. You can do a free 10 minute call with her to see if it’s a good fit so I may give her a try.
Because this woman doesn’t want to bug a Ring light or just likes doing this publicly I have to buy stuff to frost up my window and/or not keep my blinds open in daytime? No.
When you live in a neighborhood, you kind of agree to hearing neighbor’s noises, dogs barking sometimes, etc. But that doesn’t mean you sign up to watch someone pleasure themselves daily in front of the window so your kid can see.
I think there are two separate issues here though.
1 - My neighbor touches her breasts in her open window. How can I deal With this?
2 - there is a chance my 9 yo could see this woman touching her breasts since it’s not yet dealt with. What should I do.
So while dealing with issue 1, it makes sense to frost the window and/or keep the curtains shut to prevent the 9 yo seeing it. Not forever - just in the meantime.
I can understand covering the Windows for the next day or two until OP can talk to the neighbor. Some of the responses seem like people are suggesting this woman should just be able to keep pleasuring herself in front of the window and OP just needs to deal with it by frosting her Windows permanently.

I also don’t see this as being the same as one time seeing your neighbors have sex. Ok, they got carried way one time and maybe forgot the blinds were open. I’m sure if this even just happened once OP would have forgotten about it and not be posting here.
But anyone regardless of gender routinely pleasuring themselves right in front of the window? Nah. And if I come over and Just mention it nicely and you don’t want to stop doing it? Not cool. (Not saying this neighbor won’t stop just explaining why I’d take it further).

I don't think feeling/touching your breasts in a sexual manner for sexual pleasure is at all the same as breastfeeding in public or going topless at a beach or whatever. Breastfeeding is not a sexual act. Rubbing your breasts for sexual pleasure IS a sexual act.
Whether she is masturbating or rubbing her breasts in a sexual way, I wouldn't be OK with a child viewing either.
Now how would I handle it? Unsure. I'd like to think I would go over and talk to them/her first and depending on how it is taken and handled, I may then call the non-emergency number after.

One thing that annoyed me is that it appears the Peacock app only has the men’s gymnastics but not the women’s. Last night, our NBC coverage was interrupted for about 20 min due to tornado warning coverage (not for us). We went to try and stream It on Peacock and found only the men. I saw people on IG say this happened for them too. My thought initially is they know Simone/the women have more people watching and want people to tune in on TV for ratings. But I still think it’s crap.
OK. Well I am just taking the statement as its own statement, and I and many any other people have had these expectations placed on us. Maybe the OP isn't doing that, but it happens all the time in real life.
For sure. But I've seen these statements applied to people who say they hope for grandchildren and it's perfectly okay to hope you get to have grandchildren in the future.
As someone who is regularly hyperbolic, her statement read very hyperbolic.
Well hoping for grandchildren is different than hounding for them, which is what the original wording in the OP was.
I am not going to keep arguing about this. Have a nice day.
I don't understand how this statement is extreme. It is NOT your child's responsibility to provide you with grandchildren. Period.
It is extreme to assume the OP is going to demand that of her children or treat her children differently based on their having children or not.

It is not your kids’ responsibility to provide you grandchildren. Seriously.
This is extreme. It's perfectly fine to want grand kids. The way you treat your children about it is key but many people hope for grandkids when they're of the age for them.

I'm sorry you got hit.
In the moment, I totally would have done the same thing as you, especially if I was on a bike and could pedal quickly to safety. If I was walking on foot and she followed me and continued hitting me, then I probably would call the police if I could not get out of the situation. I think what you did was fine. And likely, those folks in the car called anyhow.

Find somewhere to listen to live music - sometimes it's an outdoor bar, but other times it's a park or a concert venue on our river Trivia night Playing bags in the backyard Seeing a show at our planetarium Seeing live theater at a local venue - one is outdoors which is nice in the summer Watching the sunset at a scenic viewpoint in town Game night at home Get ice cream at a local shop where you can sit outside and people watch

We loved staying on Mackinac Island. We actually did two nights. We don't have kids FWIW. We stayed at Main Street Inn and Suites. The first day, we got there like early evening, so we really just had one full day. We rented bikes and biked around the entire island. We went into some shops. Sat on the adirondack chairs on the front lawn of some resort I can't remember. Walked all around the area, down to the marina, etc. At night, we took a carriage out to the Woods Restaurant, which was fantastic, and then had drinks and listened to music at The Grand.
For me, what made the overnights nice was being there early and late when it wasn't busy. Coming back from The Grand on the carriage around 11 PM, there was no one out and all you could hear was the sound of the horses' hooves.
For the rest of your trip, the only place out of those I've done is Sleeping Bear and I loved it! Beautiful area, some fun hiking.

I would keep the flags up, as they're still needed, and just be your friendly, neighborly self when you see him. I wouldn't really do anything other than that.

Our dog started limping Sat. night and not wanting to put her paw down. Took her to the vet and it appears she was stung by a bee or some sort of insect underneath her paw. Poor girl. She is already on allergy meds, which the vet thinks kept any swelling down. Now she is on the GOOD pain pills for a week and has to rest - no walks, which she will hate.
We leave for our road trip in three weeks and I'm getting so excited to get out of my state lol!

At least a few days to recover from all the social interaction.
And then if it was a vacation and I have to get back into work after, I'm also in kind of a post-vacation funk for a little bit. Usually takes me a week after a vacation to feel motivated again.

I've never had acrylics.
I used to get regular manicures and then gel manicures pretty regularly but the polish never stayed any longer than what I did them myself so I stopped to save the money. Now every Sunday afternoon, I give myself a manicure while listening to a podcast and I enjoy it.

I've gotten to the point I'm really just wearing it in stores that still require masks for everyone regardless of vaccination status. Torrid and Lane Bryant are two like that I visited recently and I had zero issues wearing a mask while in the store.
Most places I've gone on errands (during the weekday because I am not currently working) are not busy and I can easily distance from folks anyhow. It has been nice to not wear a mask with this terrible heat we've been having.
Last night we had dinner out for H's birthday for the first time in 15 months. That's the most crowded place I've been indoors without a mask. I did feel a bit weird sitting so close to other people but, I trust the science so I just keep telling myself that.
ETA: I hardly see anyone wearing masks now out and about, and my city did have pretty high mask compliance when we had a mandate.

I haven’t been to Glacier but for Grand Tetons:
For a waterfall, I’d take the Jenny Lake boat (go early! It gets crowded) across the lake and hike to Hidden Falls and then on to Inspiration Point. This is a fairly easy hike.
Other hikes I liked at GT: Lakeshore Trail that starts by Colter Bay Visitor Center Leigh Lake/String Lake - super easy and flat. Also a great place to kayak. More moderate hike: Taggart Lake
You can rent bikes at Dornan’s and bike on the paved bike path through the park - it’s gorgeous! Dornan’s is also great for lunch or dinner.
Check out the beach at Colter Bay - it’s beautiful! The lake is so blue and the mountains are like right. There.
Ah I love the Tetons! Are you doing Yellowstone as well?

I’m a teacher and I find this very weird.
A full class outing? OK. I remember in HS, my honors Spanish teacher invited her one class of Spanish IV kids over to swim at her house after school let out for summer. I didn’t find it weird and neither did my parents (we were also 17-18 at the time). And it was like 15 of us. One on one with little kids? I don’t know. That is outside of my comfort zone as a teacher.
I’m a teacher. My district was back five days a week full days with zero social distancing since January. The only Covid mitigation they employed was masks. No word yet on whether they’ll be required in the fall - I could see our governor still requiring in schools.
Since you said he likes to mow, I think offering mowing/yard care services to neighbors is a great idea! It could take up as much or as little time as he wanted - he could do it just for one person or several households.
We used one for our Hawaii honeymoon ten years ago. She was able to get us front row first class seats on the plane (we got the first class from FIL's miles, but she was able to get us the first row there and back so we had SO much leg room), as well as a free upgrade at the hotel to an oceanfront room, stuff like that.
But that was the only trip where I used one. I LOVE researching and planning trips. That's half the fun for me so I like doing it myself.
I'm sorry for your loss. I did this for FIL's funeral 7 years ago. I used Power POint for the photos to go through in a slide show. We just played music separately through the sound system.
Ugh it’s hot here today. We did some furniture shopping, I did some clothes shopping, ate lunch at a new place, and now we set the dog’s kiddie pool up in the yard and H and I are sitting with our feet in it lol. Tonight we’re going to a patio in the park to listen to live music.
Summer heat and humidity are in full force now. I don’t mind the heat but hate humidity.
I’m doing some birthday shopping for H today. We may do happy hour at this little outdoor wine garden that one of the wine stores has here. Otherwise not many plans this weekend.
I’m going to start working on a road trip Spotify playlist for our road trip next month. I am so excited to get out of my town/state!
