This was not the update I was hoping for! So sorry to hear about your H's job. We went through something similar last summer (with Calvin's job) and it was really difficult. Sending you lots of hugs.
What are the possible results of the MRI? Like, is it possible that the radiologist could say that nothing is really wrong at all?
It's a 50-50 chance that they find anything on the imaging. If I wind up in that 50 that had no findings, there's still a possibility I have the disease though, so they'd do further testing.

I had my heart MRI today. If you've never had one, it is a surreal experience. You're basically wrapped up in swaddling and tucked in the MRI tube, where you spend 45 minutes holding your breath on and off, then get contrast and do the whole breath-holding-swaddling thing again. Being a swimmer sure came in handy, though - it was just an extra long hypoxic set.
Also, I may or may not have dozed off twice in the machine. Once *while* holding my breath. Lol.
Anyhow, I don't get results for possibly a week. In the *entire* UC Davis system, they only have two radiologists who read cardiac MRIs. So how long I wait depends on how busy they are.
In other news, R got laid off yesterday with zero warning. So, good thoughts are needed - this is a lousy time to lose health insurance.
So, EVERY time I fly I get screened and they stop me to examine my right ankle for as long as I can remember. I have never had surgery on my leg/ankle. I have had an X-ray of that ankle that was completely negative (and I saw it) because I had a horrible sprain. I don't even have a tattoo on that ankle. I can't for the life of me figure out wtf they see there. (I have a long history of working in Radiology and my degree is in Radiologic Science so I'm extremely familiar with X-ray equipment)
I've never asked bc it's always busy and the TSA people would probably think I was nuts or suspicious.
I get this too, but for me it's my left knee. They always ask if I've had surgery or if I'm concealing something, and I always respond "nope, just fat!" And they always laugh. I think this happens a lot (although I presume it's not actually fat, but more likely a bone density issue).

Get an attorney. Absolutely. I'm not one, but I am a Realtor, and that's absolutely a thing for which I'd expect someone to seek legal recourse. Depending on your state's laws, proceedings can go in a variety of directions, but start with legal advice, from an attorney with no connection to any party in the sale.

Whether or not the tankless would work for you also depends on your water temp in the winter - here, our water is so cold in winter that you need a massively powerful tankless to overcome the temperature differential. Almost all winter, our local Facebook chit chat page is full of people complaining that they're only getting lukewarm water and asking for repair recommendations. Come to find out that their system is working fine but it just can't take on 34 degree water successfully.

I haven't had one since I moved to California. No one here seems to know what they are. I asked in our local donut place and they offered me a jelly donut. Lol, no. Eat another one for me, would you?

If you're having trouble finding comparable sales to fight your assessment, give your realtor (provided you had a decent relationship) a call. They should be able to find some good comps for you.

I'm sitting at the hospital waiting on an appointment and I can't help but wonder why their bathrooms smell like cinnamon. I've never been to a hospital whose bathrooms smell like anything, but these are decisively cinnamon-y.
Also the parking situation here is an absolute disaster. OMG, it took me 20 minutes to find a space.

The one in Simi valley is just listing an intersection as the location, but it *is* the intersection right by the Walmart there, so I guess I'm not surprised. Lol
I'm currently in Fort Myers beach where it is 70 and raining, meanwhile in Detroit it is 65 and sunny. WTF
Good thing is we are getting our hardwood floors refinished while we are gone. Just downstairs and my DD2's bedroom. Going to do rest of upstairs in June. I'm so excited to see them. I've regretted not refinishing them since the day we moved in.
Friday is the opening party for the record pressing plant and I have no idea what I'm going to wear OR if I'm even going to be able to get upstairs to get shoes and a dress because of the floor work. Hoping they are done by then. mrs.jacinthe , I get you on the red carpet attire stress. The store opening party was "formal" and it was hard to decide what to wear without having the think of a monitor. I ended up dropping $$$ on a dress that I LOVE, but wonder if I ever have an occasion to wear again. Think you could hide the monitor on your lowerback? How are you feeling BTW?
We are going to disney world tomorrow. Ugh. The kids are going to love it, but I'd so much rather just be on the beach!
I'm getting OK at the moment. No major events in the last week or so, so that's good.
As far as hiding it goes, I'm thinking of getting a dress with a blousy top and taping it thoroughly somewhere, but that's disappointing, because I look best in fitted formal wear, generally speaking. I think, as soon as I know more details about where the leads go and how many there will be and how big the box is, I will call RTR and talk to a stylist. My other option is to make an appointment at the SF RTR store and just go try things on until I find something. Sigh.

Personally, I'd prefer an ottoman the same height as the sofa or a little lower. However, it might be fine. Can you find a box of similar height and try it with your sofa?

What's going on with you? Anything exciting planned for the upcoming weekend?
Not much going on here. Still working like crazy. We're planning on going to a yarn (knitting, mostly, but R wants to learn to dye) convention. That's right, my engineer spouse deliberately chose to attend a yarn convention.
And in further news, I've got a gala coming up next month that may require red carpet attire (whatever that means) and I have to figure out how to hide a cardiac event monitor under a formal dress. Ugh.
Personally, I'd fly in Friday morning if you can. Spend Fri in SF, Saturday in Napa. I'd probably get a hotel in SF and use one of the car/limo services for the Napa tour. Sunday AM, you can do whatever (sleep in, eat leisurely brunch, whatever) then take CalTrain to Palo Alto (about 45 minutes) and Lyft to the wedding venue. Get a hotel in PA or near the venue, then Lyft and/or CalTrain and/or Super Shuttle to SFO Monday morning.
I think a whirlwind SF/Napa tour is entirely possible.
Namasteak this would cost an arm and a leg and be exhausting. Wearing your wedding guest attire on Caltrain? No. Mrs. Jacinthe are you a robot? Lol.
LOL, apparently. I was thinking of a hotel switch for Sunday night, but I forgot to put that in there. I do not suggest wearing formal attire on CalTrain, namasteak.
FTR, that's totally a tour schedule I'd be ok with, but I may have different standards than most. We have been known to train out, spend 5 hours in the city, and then train home. However, since it's Labor Day Weekend, I might avoid Napa altogether - it'll be a traffic nightmare. Just spend Fri/Sat/Sun am in SF.

Ours just shouts "ICE CREAM FOR SALE" in multiple languages. I recognize Spanish and (obviously) English, but there's at least two other languages that I don't recognize. I presume at least one is Punjabi (we have a large Sikh population) but I have absolutely no clue what the other is.
2 leads or more? And is it one that works with cell phone, pager, or otherwise? Yeah, I've worn them before. For a month each time. I get how much of a PITA it is.
Unfortunately I don't really have suggestions. I did always make sure I had pockets, and I didn't really care if anyone saw. But, that was either while wearing scrubs to work or working in a casual medical clinic. It's not exactly hard to explain away.
Try to find a skirt with lots of extra fabric and pockets. Ideal if you can manage a 2 piece, but you can get creative with wires with various back types. But I think wide leg pants and a sexy top should be fine. Good luck.
