And to bring it all together, she's a great (x?) granddaughter of Simon Fraser, Lord Lovat, of Outlander fame. And her dad is the head of Clan Leslie. She has access to a few castles. lol.
They are such a cute couple and they look so happy! I'm in love with her whole look.
I almost never go into a Walmart, but needed something on a road trip and it was the only store in this town in Utah. They had basic v neck t-shirts for $5 on clearance for certain colors, so I grabbed two on my way out. They are now my absolute favorites- wash well, thick, dry without shrinking. I haven't been able to find any I like since the ones I bought at Nordstrom Rack almost 3 years ago. The merona ones I bought in between were meh, but did the job. The walmart shirts fit my large chest but don't feel baggy around my waist. Dammit, walmart. You got me.
This--I wear three Walmart tops in rotation all the time. Some of the Walmart stuff is too thin but some is really nice. I just grab the stuff that is thicker/less polyester. I used to be Target loyal but when I had to get a transition wardrobe after my second kid, I went to Walmart for shirts. Their denim shorts are also my favorites because they are cut larger in the legs. I have giant thighs for my waist. I also like Penny's.
For dresses, I search Amazon or Kohls.
For skirts and jeans, I go consignment (with Pennys, Kohls, or Target clearance filling in gaps).
Please tell me about these shorts. My waist hasn't budged but my thighs definitely grew since last summer

I hate all the criticism she gets for her hair. There are a million pics of Kate Middleton with her hair blowing all around or her dress blowing all around.
Kate gets crap for those things too. It's stupid and annoying and sometimes overshadows the good things they're doing, but at least in this area most people are being equal haters.

I'm in my first month of full time RVing. I still have a house in Denver but we needed to be in SoCal for DH's work for at least the next year. I WFH most days.
We travel a lot for work, though, and it made no sense to pay $2k in rent in a place we'd only see about 15 days a month. Add in an elderly dog who needs frequent bathroom breaks and can't do stairs, and we were looking at rentals in the 3k range for something we'd actually like.
It's older but has a nice shower, toilet, and decent sized kitchen. We stay on military bases with access to good gyms, free laundry, and gated security Our regular RV site has a private beach within 1/2 mile. If we didn't have dogs or full time jobs with the need for business formal wardrobes, I could easily do a small travel trailer with a toilet and shower.
Im interested in tomorrow's Portugal v. Spain game. I can't really seem to get into World Cup mode right now. Maybe as some of the teams are eliminated it will be better.
Same here. I'm usually stoked and putting calendar blocks at work so I can take a long lunch or four.. but not this year. I did find a local German pub for Sunday, so hopefully that'll help.
For me, I think it also has to do with the fact that we moved and it's the first summer I'm away from my large soccer fam in Denver I'm going to miss watching Germany games with my in-laws and other matches with friends from those countries.

Even before her marriage, I don't recall her wearing bright, bold things. I love her style because it's stuff I like to wear- brown, black, creams, and a touch of navy or dark green. To add color- maybe a pale pink or dark purple/burgundy
Next to William is Zenouska Mowatt, granddaughter of Princess Alexandra (the Queen’s cousin).
Zenouska is the daughter of the royal family's black sheep Marina Ogilvy. She publicly accused her mother of insisting she abort a pregnancy or wed the father. Zenouska is that baby. She looks a bit like Princess Marina who was Princess Alexandra's mother and a renown beauty.
I don't think that's Zenouska. She's older- that girl looks like she's younger than 19.

!!!!PDQ!!!!
We had a big interview day in the office a few months ago and a candidate was standing outside the office of where he was interviewing. Another candidate asked if he was waiting and he said "it was supposed to start 5 minutes ago but the interviewer is not here. How unprofessional!" RIGHT when the interviewer came around the corner. These were back to back, all day interviewing sessions, so she had run out to go to the bathroom and grab some water.
Thankfully he rocked the interview and blew her away, but it was not a good first impression for sure.
Usually it means they want to see if you would actually be interested after hearing salary potential and if they think you would be a good fit personality wise.
Basically this. More of a conversation than a set of questions.

Well, now I'm a little glad the bachelorette party I was with decided to call it an early night, since we were going to head to that area to bar hop.
I'm sick and tired of the good gun owner shtick. This is a FEDERAL AGENT WITH EXTENSIVE TRAINING. This is not Joe Schmoe who decided to carry a weapon for a fun night out with the bros or something. If we can't even trust people with hundreds of hours of training, how are we still trusting the casual civilian with firearms?!?!
For anyone who might be interested: Kate and the kids out and about like regular people. The kids look super cute. And for once George isn't dressed like he's a visitor from the 1940s! lol
I read at one point that they dress the kids in that very traditional upper class British style when they're doing public events because it helps them blend in better when they're in regular clothes. People expect to always see them dressed that way, but barely notice another little kid in normal shorts, polo shirt, and crocs.
Part of me likes the photos of them being a normal family, but they do these things so they can have a normal day out and someone still snapped pics. From the article, there were no paparazzi and it was just a random dude.
I know! Which is why I thought it was notable. He's more of a "burn it down but let's be reasonable about expectations" kinda guy. lol. I trust his pulse on the Latinx community in Denver, though. And he admits that community was hurt by the Bernie movement not embracing HRC. He also doesn't care for transplants, and as you know, neither does North Denver.
The Latinx community isn’t a fan of Saira?
They are the ones hurt by recent gentrification and transplants the most in the Denver area. A "transplant" candidate from back east just doesn't sit well with many.
From the local side, there has been a lot of backlash to Saira. Many locals and especially minorities, do not feel like she knows Denver. One of my Bernie-Bro, "take out the DNC" type of friends is completely against her and is actively helping to campaign against her. He's very active in the Latino community and politics. He's one of many I've heard from.
It'll be an interesting primary for her and Diana.

The burn it down Bros I know are all in for Saira. Weird.

I am now getting a lot of royal articles - must be an algorithm from watching the wedding and discussing. Not related to Meghan and Harry, but this picture is the best... Diana and Fergie in hangover glasses at an early morning polo match:
I mean, they might just be 80's glasses, but that sheep sweater with the tie and the single black sheep (cough, cough) on her pocket is so hipster, Di!
If you didn't tell me that was Fergie & Diana I would have thought it was a shot from a movie about Diana with Julia Roberts playing Diana and Mandy Moore playing Fergie
I'm a lurker, but CEA and most teachers unions are backing Kennedy. Polis' foundation is responsible for funding one of the worst private charters in Denver. He has a history of bipolar voting on issues like gun laws and some environmental issues. He is not a friend of teachers unions, wasn't supportive of walk outs, and until recently he was associated with pro school reform group DFER. Polis also hired McMinimee (former pro reformer superintendent of Jeffco) to run his private charter after he was let go from Jeffco.
I could've sworn I saw something about his education stance and issues, but couldn't find it immediately. It's probably in the book for a class I was taking.. Anyway, with this, I think I'll be firmly behind Kennedy.
If any of y'all are in 1st congressional district, Saira Rao is a friend of mine and she's worth learning about.

My dad's rule: either you leave after HS when you join the military, in the fall for college, or you get a job to pay for your own place. They paid our cell phones, health and car insurance until we chose to take it over since it was cheaper on a family plan. I took over my cell and car insurance at 19, the military took over my health insurance at 20. My brother and sister waited it out a bit longer. lol.
On the flip side, we were always told that if we ever needed to come back for a year or so to get back on our feet, we were welcome. We had to be job searching or enrolled in school if that was the case. I think DH's mom had very similar rules and both older siblings did come back home for a few months after their divorces.

How cute is this? There was a reason for the green drawing room photo, apparently.
"While Meghan sits on the floor of the Green Drawing Room at Windsor Castle, Harry sits on an emerald green couch, a couch that he sat on once before in another photograph marking an important milestone in his life.
The couch was the same couch in which Harry’s late mother was photographed sitting on while holding a baby Harry at his christening in 1984."
She looks nice, but I'm very MEH on the dress. And ditto bex on the shimmery pantyhose not looking good ... but she can't avoid them entirely, so hopefully she can find a more flattering version.
Re: Kate's style ... she's definitely in more polished/professional outfits post-wedding, but a lot of them are dowdy IMO. Meghan probably has a little more wiggle room to be fashionable since she's not a future Queen Consort (and seems more stylish in general) but she still has to play it safe.
I don't think Kate is unattractive by any means, but I also think she gets a giant boost from having a slim figure and an elaborate blowout. And designer clothes, lol.
Agreed- but just like the wedding dress, I don't think we're going to see too many crazy, fashionable outfits. I think she'll be a little more laid back than Kate, but I wouldn't get too excited. lol.
The pantyhose, though- girl, they make them in all kinds of colors! Those are just not right!
I think she looks lovely, but yikes to the pantyhose. Those aren't a good look.
I hope she doesn't start dressing like Kate. (and I don't even mean that as a dig at Kate's style. I just hope she retains some of her own sense of style rather than just copying Kate to be more "royal.")
Kate really didn't dress like Kate until up to and after the wedding. I think there are going to be protocols that her style just won't fit into, unfortunately.
