Oh wow! We already ordered the coasters! It was my DH's thank you more than mine and he was stalking me for an answer lol. I will keep that in mine for next time, however, because I think they're very cool.
I can promise you that they work VERY hard and the products are amazing.
I checked out their site after you posted. They have some really cool stuff!!!!

Tupperware Modular Mates. They stack on each other, are clear so you can see what is in them when you fail to label them properly (me, always), and they fit in normal size cabinets perfectly.
Living in London temporarily has been a dream come true. I love being able to explore the UK and being able to get to other parts of Europe so quickly and easily.
I'd love to try other international cities as well, and in an ideal world Hong Kong is probably top of my list. The weather and crowds kind of suck but with a big budget we could get a roomy place, the food is amazing, I'd work on/re-learn my language skills, and we could explore more of Asia.
Domestically, it will always be the greater Boston or Bay Area for us. Boston is in my blood, but we really did leave our hearts in San Francisco.
Don't get any smart ideas. You are moving back to the East Coast. And the sooner, the better!

The journal is cool, but it would give me anxiety that I haven't filled it out as I should. And frankly, I wouldn't want to carry anymore stuff with me when I travel.

Your business, your choice. Unless you want to hear why your office manager moved it back and consider her opinion, tell her to put it the way you left it last night.

Ohhh, I have a relating story. I was at a local wine festival in NC (far away from where I grew up and went to high school). This woman comes up to me and knows my name and asks if I went to XY. I was so confused.....my husband had to ask me, isn't that your high school? I went to high school with this person for four years and was in many classes with her. I blame the awful fruit flavored local wine, but really I'm just awful at names and faces Nor did I expect to see anyone I grew up with so far away from that location.
My random for today.....my son is so crazy, it is making me so glad he will be starting school on Thursday. But then I think how young he is and get all sad. How are my kids old enough for kindergarten and what am I to do with myself with them in full time school??

I have no idea!!!! That's why we ended up where we did. We didn't want to move here, but sat down and tried to think of our ideal place. We couldn't come up with any so here we are!
London was good, but tougher than I thought it would be. Can I live in the French or Italian countryside for a summer? That sounds appealing.
Thanks everyone. I was just blindsided by that this morning and I just couldn't deal.
I'm sorry you have to deal with a similar situation @undeprotest on top of the craziness that has been your life these past few months. And they will just have to deal with your blue hair!
Thanks. I lost it on my parents when they couldn't figure out what to feed my kids for dinner. Uhm, look in the cabinet??? That was just the straw that broke the camel's back after my dad having to be told a million times to not do something. It was like having four kids to deal with instead of my normal two. Being so far away for a couple years just highlighted how they have aged. And now they are a 12 hour drive away so not easy to check on (and I'm physically closer to them than my sibling).
I will say that I don't have it nearly as bad as my brother in law. My father in law is a stubborn mule and has some serious health and mental issues that have to be dealt with. Just another reason I will not live in my husband's home town.

Oh, and my Friday random. I went to the hair salon to get my hair bleached for my blue highlights. The lady didn't carry blue and said people here (Greenwich) don't do colors. She had her hair slightly red and had to change it because she is also a realtor. Wonder how they are going to react to my blue???

Hugs, raangoli. I am getting there with my parents too. Their last visit had me parenting them and my two kids. It's not something I imagined I would be doing so soon and it makes me worried about their future.
Okay, so I went with the LL Bean suggestions. How accurate is their shipping/delivery estimate? It says it will arrive by August 26, but that seems super quick considering I am having it embroidered.
Their shipping estimates are usually spot on. I ordered dd1 a jacket at 4pm yesterday and I have tracking information with set delivery for the 24th.
Perfect! I am a little worried because I haven't gotten an email confirmation of the order though.

We tend to get a five figure tax refund.
I don't know my husband's annual salary (it varies each month so I can't annualize) and he doesn't know his monthly salary).
I let him deal with investing and he lets me deal with daily bills and such. We have no checks and balances. i could not pay bills for months and he wouldn't know.
We probably spent too much on our house though since I don't know his salary, I'm not sure.

I asked mine to stop drinking in front of me, as wine made me very jealous and beer smelled awful to me. He decided to give up all alcohol for Lent and lost enough weight that I was VERY close to weighing more than him at the end.

My house is finally really shaping up! We hung pictures on Saturday (which caused some friction with my MIL because her decorating ideas do NOT match mine). And then yesterday my husband took all the spare furniture pieces to the basement. He only broke one thing on the way down, but unfortunately it was a massive glass top to a desk. But at least now I don't have all these random bookshelf and desk pieces in the hallway! And its weird, today is the first day since we moved in without one or more of the grandparents here. Hopefully this means I can get my kids back to normal. The amount of whining has been unbearable.

explorer2001, that was my bridesmaid dress for my SIL's wedding! It is comfortable and hides a multitude of sins (should you need it)! Love it!
My thankful is that the DMV only took 2 hours today and that my MIL is here and stayed home with the kids. And that we have the money to replace our moldy AC unit rather than put our kids' health at risk.
My random.....I ate a german chocolate brownie (compliments of our mortgage company due to their epic fuck up), but I want more!!!! I am gorging myself on good American junk food and can't get enough of anything!

Bleeding money here too. New house, two new cars, new lawn mower, new carpet (seriously disgusting), paint and painters, new area rug, new lights and now I'm going to have to replace two AC units, fix $$$$ plumbing issues and oh, that doesn't cover the structural work that still has to be done or the electrical or the roof flashing. At least we are "saving" 30k by sending the kids to kindergarten instead of preschool.
