All she said about pay when I got hired was my rate and said we would do the 90 day review and discuss it then, but I feel like I want to make sure it's a talking point. The new fiscal year begins in July and noise around the office is that most raises don't happen until after a year at the job.
Thanks for the suggestion! I honestly have no idea how this is going to go over, which is why I am so torn on how to do it. I've heard mixed things from others at work (in general about raises, not about my situation).
Thanks for thinking of me I do have sources that indicate I am severely underpaid (a national salary study was done about my job recently and it even breaks it down my city and region), but I'm not sure I should bring those out unless I need to. I'm just not sure if I should give her a head's up that I want to talk about it, or if I bring it up in the meeting without giving her notice?
If she is unable to give me a raise, I will be giving her my two weeks' notice and then I will temp until I can find something permanent. The amount of money I make is less than what I made as a freshman in college.
My 90 day review is Thursday. I don't know if my pay rate is part of the discussion, but I need it to be. How should I go about this? Send an email ahead of time saying that I want to discuss my pay?

I waffled on going out with the guy I'd gone out with 2x. Last night we were texting and I told him I watched For The Bible Tells Me So and what it was about. Turns out he is against gay marriage. And that's done.
Tomorrow is my 90-day review. I have to talk with my boss about money. If I don't get a raise I will have to quit. I can't make so little money...my salary is pitiful and I hope she can do something about that. I found out today that a guy who has no background whatsoever in the field started the job at a higher rate than me and I have a damn MA in the field. I can't use that info without it being clear that I know what he started it, so I will just seethe on it during the talk.

cam13, that sucks. Sorry you saw them. I know how it can mess with one's head a bit.
I worked today, ate dinner, and now I'm in bed with my cat perched on my shoulder, purring away, lol. I am about to watch either Jesus Camp or For the Bible Tells Me So on Netflix...I'm leaning toward FTBTMS.
Cute Work Guy gave his notice today. I'm irrationally sad about it, which is probably the most flameworthy thing I've ever posted here...it's pathetic.
Guy I went out with earlier this week texted me asking me out again. I want to say no, but I feel so shitty because he is so nice and has his shit together, and here I am, all not interested and pining for a dude who barely knows I exist. I am embarrassing to myself.
An historic site's FB page that I follow posted a status with an error in it. I really want to say something because the error is, well, an error. I know it was an innocent mistake so I'm biting my tongue (holding my fingers, lol?). Maybe someone else will say something.
Give him a second date! It may be a nice distraction from work guy - and you may like him more the more you give him a chance!

Sorry you've found yourself in the situation, but best of luck to you going forward. My exH was also awesome...until he wasn't, so I totally get what you're saying. Welcome and definitely feel free to jump in our conversations!

I changed my last name to my stepfather's last name.
I really didn't find it all that difficult. I had to pay a fee, fill out the application, and then go in front of the judge to explain why I wanted to change my name (it was on the application...I just repeated it). I found changing my name on everything was fairly easy. I just sent in or faxed the document showing my name change and it was done. I had to get a new license, but again, it was pretty easy.
I love my new last name and I am so glad I did it. I feel like it's really "me" if that makes sense.
ETA: I paid $50 to file my name change application...that was the only fee I paid.

If I only had to commute 3 days a week, then yes, especially with the huge pay raise. When I had a long commute I used to listen to audiobooks and I loved it. Now my commute is 10 minutes and sometimes I miss the long drives listening to books.

I moved a chunk of money over to savings, so I was proud of that.
However, my wardrobe needs updating badly. I went shopping yesterday and bought a few pieces. I honestly have no summer clothing other than workout stuff. I have no idea what I wore last summer. The stuff I wear to work will get me by, but it's starting to show age a little. I will be spending money over the next few weeks adding pieces in. I don't mind spending the money, I just wish I would have done it little-by-little than letting it get to this point.

I had my stylist put more blonde in last week, but the weather has been so terrible it's been hard to get a good pic of my hair (my apt has the worst lighting ever, also). My face is washed out, but my hair looks true to color. So sorry for the repeat FB and IG friends, but I am IN LOVE with my hair color. My stylist totally nailed it!!

I think it's fine to let him know you don't mind if he needs space to decompress and that a single text letting you know that he's taking time to do so would be appreciated.
I am going to get a pedicure today!!!!!! I wanted to lay by the pool, but it's stormy and rainy again today.

I slept in late today, but I knew I might because work kicked my ass this week. I am going to head to the gym shortly. Afterward, I am going to get a pedicure and I am so excited!! Tonight I am going to trivia night with some friends and I may get some shopping in beforehand, so today is shaping up to be a good day. Storms are possible, but hopefully they don't impact the day too much.
I went on a date last night. Very nice guy, has his stuff together, but I find him to be very...uninteresting? Recently I was talking to my bff and we talked about what I am looking for in someone and I am looking for someone who I find to be fascinating.
NY&Co was having a good sale and they emailed me a coupon for $25 off $75 for signing up for their emails. What do you know, when I put in the code it says it's not good for this sale. So I deleted my entire cart and will spend my money elsewhere.
Tomorrow is my Friday. On Tuesday I am going to get a pedicure...yay! Maybe do some shopping as well.
