I turned in my resignation for my current job and let me new boss know my start date for my new job! Now I need to clean my apartment and organize some stuff, but at the moment I'm chilling out on my bed with my cat on my lap, lol.
Yes, not huge but enough to make me happy! My boss was apologetic he couldn't do more and has already said next year he hopes to up the pay in the new fiscal year.
Excellent!! I'm glad you found a job that appreciates your value
I already feel amazing. My new boss was concerned that I was overqualified and he said when he offered me the job, "I just hope we can keep you for a while because you have such a great resume and background!" After saying that I would have said yes even without the raise, lol.
Is it a pay increase for you? I know you were hoping for that.

I'm home from work and my head is aching most likely from sinus pressure. It is gorgeous outside, but the pain medicine doesn't seem to be helping my headache. I just want to go to bed!
Tomorrow is my Friday, thank heavens! Also, I never heard about the job (they said I would hear last week), so I hope I hear something tomorrow. A part of me thinks they offered the job to someone else and the person took the weekend to think about it.

I gave someone a factual argument as to why the Confederate flag is racist in origins and that it does not represent freedom (as she claimed it does) and she fucking made a status about how people are "lashing out at her" and "making her feel stupid" followed by a "haha. LOL. hope u feel better. i feel great. ur not bringing me down at all." WTF...this chick is going to be 30 fucking years old this year.
I'll try the cherry smoothie! I haven't had issues with cherries in the past, so hopefully it will be good! I've been trying more yogurt as of recent, but sometimes they just don't hit the spot. I normally eat oatmeal for breakfast, so it isn't as dessert-sounding to me anymore.
I admire those of you who have the willpower to eat a square of chocolate. I have no such willpower!
I keep the chocolate in the kitchen and only break off one square then go sit in the living room or balcony or wherever to eat it. Usually my laziness wins out and I don't want to get up to get another piece at that moment, by the time I get up again I have forgotten about wanting more. I promise my self control is not very good its just my laziness that is stronger.
My laziness operates differently:
Me: I'll just eat two pieces of the candy bar. Laziness: OR, you know, just take the whole bar with you because then you'd have to get up to get the rest. Me: Great idea! ::takes entire bar of chocolate with self to couch::

Then I would just ignore the family and quit talking to them. I assume they are soon to be your ex-in-laws, so no need to waste effort on them when you know you did the humane thing for the kitten.

I'm finding that my weak point is at night when I start craving something sweet. What are some healthy dessert ideas that you've tried and really enjoy?
Random side note: I can't eat a lot of fresh fruits because of the acidity in them...it hurts my tongue. Milder fruits like watermelon and strawberries, for example, are okay.
I called to set up a passport appointment and there is a damn 3 week wait. Which I'm still fine on time, but OMG. Why is the wait so far out? If I go home soon I may swing by the little town post office that does passports because you don't have to set up appointments there...that's how little town it is, lol.
I am doing laundry right now. I need to go by the store later, but really that's it on my must-do list. So I see myself hanging out by the pool later and hopefully finishing up the book I'm reading.

I bought a desk and use it as a makeup vanity (note: the ugly white shelf to the left of the desk is temporary, lol):
I LOVE doing my makeup in my bedroom. The lighting is wonderful in the morning, but I also have my close-up lighted mirror that I use in conjunction with natural lighting. At night I was my face in the bathroom, but then do my skincare routine at my desk. My makeup is stored away in the drawers, although now I have a spinning brush holder on the top and an acrylic divider for skincare. I also bought the plastic piece that people put under office desks and put it under the makeup desk for easy clean up if something falls.
As far as washing my hands, I bought some cheap washcloths that I keep in the middle drawer and I wipe my hands on a washcloth as I go about my routine, but really I mainly use it after I apply foundation. For most everything else I use brushes. Each week when I do laundry I just wash the cloths with the towels.

I'm glad there was good in the visit, but I hate that you were upset. Although I think I'm in denial about getting older and my metabolism slowing down...why can't I eat all the ice cream and be down on the scale 2lbs the next day? Oh that's right...I'm getting older.
You've done great and I know it's been an uphill battle, but I'm so proud of you!

I sold my engagement ring to a jeweler for about 25% of what was initially paid. They didn't want my wedding band and the best offer I had on it was something like $25. I don't know what I want to do with it, so it's just sitting in my jewelry box. I kind of want to throw it into the river that divides the two places we lived together, but then I feel guilty at the idea of littering, lol.

Today is my day off. I am going to head to the gym, come home and start laundry (so fun, lol), and then go read by the pool for a while. Also repaint my nails...super exciting!
I might see if a guy from Tinder wants to get a drink tonight.
