There's some sort of irony in you choosing this name because I automatically think:
Except we are now Margo and Todd (who, really, were completely justified and unfairly maligned in that movie because Clark Griswold is kind of a dick, but I digress).
While this response made me, LOL, it was actually some sort of Caribbean-ish band last night.
Steel drums?
They're loud even without amplification.
But in the summer, 930 is barely sunset. I'm in the 'not too late' camp here.
Barely sunset?! momi that's a time zone issue. It was the longest day of the year just this week and my sun still set at 8:25 pm today.

In Massachusetts it is illegal to record the voice of anyone else without notifying them, so anything that might accidentally record a voice of another person should not be used. You might check to see if there are other states with two party consent to recordings because this might also apply. E
What is this "as the crow flies" stuff going on in this thread? Who talks like that?
I use that phrase ALL THE TIME but I live in a state bisected by a giant bay so I can live 10 miles from something as the crow flies but it will take 30 miles of driving to get there.
Okay, so I entered my email address, and then very next page is a "donate here" page. That's not necessarily unexpected I guess, but I honestly can't even tell whether I HAVE to donate to be a "wonk."
Huh, me too.
I clicked on the link in my email and it brought me to a page that was prepopulated with my email address and zip code. I hit OK and then I was brought to a donation page. IT never gave me a choice to sign up for the issues that i care about and there is no way to progress past the donation page without making a donation.
I only have on Berner on my Facebook, but I want to slap them and point to Great Britian today. If they don't vote for Hillarty THAT is what could happen to the US. There are more oldz and racist than we like to believe and I swear to god, voting for Clinton with your nose held is INFINITELY better than a 30% drop in the DOW, you tucking entitled morons.
We don't even have to look to Britain. I wish more people were talking about Maine! Paul LePage is what happens when the liberals split and you let Donald Trump become president.
Its a GD nightmare up there. The saddest part is that they re-elected that effer.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm still beyond devestated after losing my dog in April. Take your time but I know what you mean about the house feeling empty.
I think they were trying to avoid abdominal surgery if possible. They thought the epidural would work and she wouldn't feel anything, so why add major surgery on top of everything else. But, if I had a choice I would have just done the C-section from the start. Yes, it takes more time to heal physically, but the added mental anguish of being awake when someone was pulling the baby out of you. That would be terrible even if the epi had worked and she was physically numb. Ugh I just can't imagine. My heart breaks for her.
I guess I more meant why did she need to be awake for the vaginal delivery. If she didn't need to push why put her all through that. Just knock her out when it is time to give birth.
Yes I was thinking almost like that "twilight birth" that they used to do in the 1950s/1960s and that you see in Mad Men when January Jones has her third child as Betty Draper.
My sister had to have a very late term termination because of an incompatible with life situation. It was awful. As she described it to me, it was very similar. She was given a shot to stop the heart of her son and then she had to deliver him. They were able to see him after he was born still. They mourn his loss and they had a special tree planted in his memory around Green Lake in Seattle. It's a beautiful cherry tree that blooms right around when he would have been born.
I am on the side that better signage with pictures certainly wouldn't hurt. But to be fair to Disney, this is the first alligator attack and related death in it's whole operating history? Much like the gorilla incident, I think this was just a horrible, freak accident. Certain events aligned and a tragedy occurred. But it's no one's "fault" per se. I'm sure Disney will be super vigilant about its alligator population from now on. Of course, that does not assuage the tremendous loss this family suffered.
There was another attack (not death, thankfully) but it was 30 years ago, and at that time swimming was still allowed on the beaches I believe.
They had an interview with this guy on my local news with pictures of his injuries at the time which looked more than superficial. He still has HUGE scars on his leg that look line teeth marks.
I haven't watched the last couple of seasons, and I barely dabble in following disability politics, so I don't have an opinion on their portrayal of know if there has been fall out.
But in general, it depends on how they handle it. NCIS had a character become disabled (she was in a wheelchair) and I don't think there was backlash about how they portrayed her.
NCIS New Orleans got positive feedback when they actually cast a disabled actor as a disabled character. Obviously this isn't an option for a character that became paralyzed during the show.
Doesn't the coroner on the original NCIS have a disability? I swear I read somewhere, ages ago, that he wanted his character to have the disability be obvious and talked about. I know he uses a cane on the show, and I think it's for real, not just acting.
Are you thinking of the guy on CSI? He had braces to assist him in walking.

Does anyone watch the show Bones? One of the characters becomes confined to a wheelchair after a disabling injury and I've wondered about their treatment of that in the show. Brie I would be curious as to how members of the community feel about that portrayal.

That's weird that they are doing illegal burials. Many times you can put two coffins in one plot now a days or a coffin plus an urn. Just have to pay the gravediggers.
I wouldn't mind being cremated but I would want my ashes buried in a cemetery.
Re- the ash necklaces, I considered one after my pug passed this year. I still consider it less freaky than Victorian hair brooches ( made with human hair) or death photos.

I lost my beloved pug at the age of 13 this April and I miss him so much every day.
You are doing a great job with your pup. In my dogs last two months he stopped eating his normal food. I just experimented with other stuff - wet food, raw, I would sit with him and hand feed him kibble, etc. good luck. Your dog is lucky to have you.
I had FMEZZ seats (row A) for a Saturday afternoon show in February. When I went to pay, it asked me if I wanted to pay with a CC that wasn't mine and when I said "no," it kicked me out. WTF TICKETMASTER YOU ARE ZEE WORST BURR.
That's what happened to my first set of tix but then I got another set of FMezz but row B for the same date. Thankfully. But the whole thing was rather infuriating and it took me 45 minutes to complete the purchase.
Now I'm anxiously awaiting my confirmation from Ticketmaster. Safe to assume they're just overloaded and it will come soon?!
I got mine instantly after the seats were confirmed. I was taken to a page with my order number. After I put in my credit card, there was more "confirming" for a few minutes and then the confirmation page popped up with the order number and I received the email.
Thanks for all of the feedback. I think our favorites are going to be in the 15-20 min range, with another being about 25-30 mins away with traffic.
Man, all of this is so overwhelming.
I started emailing schools this weekend. Are summer tours common?
No not in my market.
Open houses and tours are in the fall with applications due by January. Decisions go out in early March with another open house for admitted students.
Tours are available over the summer but some grades might be full. If there is a seat available and you are qualified it's possible to apply over the summer for September start.
