I wasn't under general, but I didn't stabilize for hours and I didn't get to hold him until 12 hours after he was born. DH got to hold him and was with him part of the time, but he was by himself for a while.
I couldn't change it and am sad about it, but we're both ok. Liam is 5.5 now and I don't think about his birth much.
Congrats on the new baby! Take time to deal with the birth as you will, but time heals.

DS (4.5) was sent home from Pre School yesterday for being out of control. He wasn't listening or responding to the teacher and wound up trying up hit her. He has major impulse control issues. He knows that it us wrong, but just tends to shut down when a transition goes badly.
I had to rest them (not nurse, only pump) for a few days. For me the issue was caused by nursing, though. I also used neosporine on then with earth mama nipple stuff.

vaccines and car seat safety. I got pearl clutchy at a good friend's photo the other day with chest straps wrong and her barely 1 year old FF. I'm trying to figure out how to approach it with them. (The FF thing I can deal with (sort of) but the loose chest clips and straps, not so much.)

I know that you just four life insurance for him to pay off the mortgage, but what about a separate policy just for the kids? Say 300K that would have each kid getting 1/3. Then you would get everything else and not have to worry about raising DD.
We were 100% on2. DH had his vasectomy when #2 was 6 weeks old.
He spent one day on the couch and then was up and moving. I just asked for extra help that day. My FIL drove him to the appointment and home so I didn't have to take the baby anywhere.
