I always want to do first name, last initial, but that's usually taken (Jessicat). So I replaced cat with mau years ago. Mau like the cat breed Egyptian Mau, which I used to want.
Fasten in the back. I also do the lean forward to situate in the cups part when I first put the bra on, before fastening. I learned it at a fancy bra store and it seems to work well.
Add me to the list of people surprised that so many fasten in front. I always felt so uncomfortable doing it that way (the spinning tugging on my skin).
My mom is pretty awesome, but since menopause is easier to anger and will snap at my father over the most inconsequential things. Lucky she just likes to go into very detailed descriptions of restaurant menus and dishes ordered with me.
Please stop throwing up on the furniture. There's lots of lovely hardwood for you to throw up on instead. And throwing up on the couch is really not the way I want to be helped with my fitness routine. Keep this up and I'm reclaiming the armchairs.
Signed, frustrated jessicat
Dear Sofia,
You will get fed faster if you don't try to trip and kill me every morning. Please learn this lesson, it's only been a year! Love, Your human
Dear Nature's Miracle,
Thank you for making the hairball & vomit eliminator. It works so much better than any other product I've tried.
I use Clinique Super Rescue antioxidant night moisturizer for very dry to dry skin. It's amazing, it doesn't irritate my dry, sensitive-ish skin, and is very hydrating, IMO.
Also you might want to look at what cleanser you're using. Hell, overall what products you're using. For a budget-friendly, gentle cleanser, I really like the Olay foaming face wash for sensitive skin.
I haven't checked groupon in a while but just did and OMG one in my area is for laser toenail fungus removal.
Ewwww!!
Groupon in my area has been okay, but I'm mostly getting spa services and not as much adventure-related activities as they used to, like kayaking. Although I did just get an 80 minute massage for $49.
Work was nuts today so I didn't have a chance to log on. I would've rather been here than sitting in a meeting where one of our bosses lectured us all about not feeding into the kids' drama.
Please stop being so damn reactionary and running around like chickens with your heads cut off. The kid did not sniff so much nail polish that she'll actually die. Calm down. Also, trust that people besides you know how to do their jobs, including me and the supervisors. Especially whey one of you admits that you don't really know how to work in a residential environment. Be open to training and feedback.
Exasperatedly yours, jessimau
Dear Bosses,
Thank you for actually paying attention to what's going on in my job setting and for validating that it's not okay. Now please do something about it instead of putting it all on me.
Yes, it was the same day as my bridal shower because my best friend & MoH flew across the country to be here for them. We pre-partied at a friend's condo, then were driven downtown by get boyfriend and his friends. We did dinner and then drinks & dancing and had a blast. I think this was about 3 months before the wedding.
I don't meal plan, but really should. The definites for this week include leftover fritata, lefotver gnocchi (today's lunch), greek yogurt, apples, cherries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, tomato soup, and tuna and turkey sandwiches.
I've been using the maracuja concealer for a couple of weeks now and I really like it. It's a moister finish, so if you have oily skin you probably won't like it. I don't need much and it does a pretty good job concealing, plus feels nice around the eyes on my dry skin.
Sorry yesterday was a rough day, PS. You did everything you could. I know you know this, but sometimes it helps to hear it again.
My weekend was okay. Good dinners Saturday and Sunday evening, a nice day with my parents yesterday. Overall it was a pretty chill weekend, which I needed.
DH and I had a long talk last night and it was rough on both of us, but really good. We're talking about a lot of the deeper issues. He did tell me some things about myself that were hard to hear, so I'm trying to take time and process them instead of just reacting. I'm sure I told him some things about himself that were difficult for him to hear too.
My Pandora station is awesome this morning. The most recent playlist: Michael Jackson "Bad" Run DMC v. Aerosmith "Walk This Way" Nelly, P.Diddy, & Murphy Lee "Shake Your Tailfeather" The Fresh Prince of Bel Air theme song
In related news, I should probably be more excited about "Rock of Ages."
This is sort of like good news, but more random. I hope.
I've been pretty down this week, so the good things are kinda based off of that. My coworkers see me as smart and come to me/recommend others come to me for help with "smart people stuff" like coming up with metaphors to compare for an English paper. Apparently they think my smarts are well-rounded and not just confined to psychology. I needed to realize this after how I've been feeling. Also, I realized that there are people who care and want to be there for me/support me even when I'm a debbie downer.
Oh, and this weekend I'll be having two awesome dinners with my parents. One will be for his birthday, at an asian fusion restaurant that we haven't been to in years, and the other will be for father's day at one of our favorite Italian restaurants. I'm going to have gnocchi with a lamb ragu and a glass of valpolicella or amarone. Yay!
Good: I just got paid today, I'm off at 4:30, and there's a place nearby that has what we affectionately call Wine Wednesdays, with select glasses only $3 all night. I also think I've finally found a foundation I love. And my boss is putting in for a raise.
Shank: The fact that I'm up right now and about to head out to a training. Also whoever hurt/bruised up one of my clients. How long it's taking for our new goyte's paperwork to go through so she can actually start doing her job.
Any good plans this weekend? I'm heading up to visit my parents on Saturday so we can celebrate my father's birthday (tomorrow) and Father's Day.
I kinda wish that twist had come a couple episodes in, but overall I really liked it. Now it's just remembering when it's on for the future, which is my biggest struggle with all new shows.
Sorry to butt in. I really like the Paula's Choice antioxidant serums (they have them for different skin types). You can order samples to see if you'll like the product. I think they're about $25/tube.
The ginormous mountain of paperwork I have to get through this week. Plus I'm out at a training all day tomorrow, so it HAS to get done today. That's really it.
This morning I said, "I love you, Baby Fuss!" and he said, "I lum-um, Mom."
Awww, so sweet!
Not much is new with me. I'm working too damn much, training our new hire who hasn't even been fully cleared yet, so I'll have to train her all over again once she can meet with clients. I am done with my hours and studying for the first licensing exam, so there's that.
Outside of that, positive progress in my marriage. DH is still doing individual, not ready for couple's therapy, but we're kind of doing some of that kind of work on our own (unintentionally, re: communication). It feels like baby steps, but a lot of little baby steps.
Oh, I asked for a raise and my boss said she's going to try for it (has to get approval from higher-ups). I want to go back to her and be explicit about a number, since I wasn't clear in our last conversation.
Other than that, not much. Trying to save up for a vacation.
After years and years of service, my Shu is finally ready for retirement. I know I could order another Shu online, but I'd rather spend less this time. So...
What trips do you have planned in the next year? Nothing specific, but I'd like to go back East (NJ, NYC, &Boston, specifically) to visit family & friends. Maybe also Vegas for our anniversary.
What is your favorite vacation that you have ever taken? What made it so amazing? I can't think of just one. Kauai for our honeymoon was wonderful. We relaxed, we did some adventurous things, it was all around a well-balanced, relaxing, fun vacation. I also really loved both times I went to France. And Italy, during to know my relatives a bit more.
What places are on your bucket list to see? Ireland, Scotland, maybe a Scandinavian country, Tahiti, Fiji, somewhere I can see the aurora borealis, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Russia, probably most of Europe, Egypt, Morocco, India...
What places do most people want to go to that you are absolutely positively just not interested in? That whole "backpacking through Asia" thing people were doing, or saying they should do, to find themselves. I mostly am scared of going to parts of Asia because I don't know what I'd eat (I hate being picky sometimes).
